Thank you. Ten years for migraine control.
Me too! It’s irritating how the original poster seems to be assuming that people only get botox out of vanity.
Same here! Botox is the only thing that has helped my sister and I with our migraines. It is a miracle for us, and it’s a little annoying when people tell me they are “jealous” because I get botox covered by insurance, as if it’s just a quick cosmetic fix.
same🎉🎉🎉
@jpg83 Had a coworker who got shots from her NEUROLOGIST because she had thoracic outlet syndrome. Botox gets all the publicity these days as a cosmetic so a LOT of people don’t know it was originally used for MEDICAL reasons (strabismus and blepharospasm).
Plus, fingers crossed, it has shown promise for cluster headaches. I don’t have them, but I know how horrible they are.
Maybe fix the root cause.
How lucky are we that we have a professional that can actually look at the data and explain it to us. Thank you!
Careful, its her job.
Don’t be gullible – your heros are monsters.. educate yourself cuz no one cares about you and they profit from you. Your doctor and your president to start with
When i got Botox in my jaw for teeth grinding, about a week later i noticed my swallowing progressively changed and lasted the full 4 months :/ not sure what that was about?
Wouldn’t be surprised if it affected your swallowing muscles. It’s amazing how little it takes to adjust our facial movements.
Lots of crazies out there
Yup mostly with nose rings like a cow would have so they’re easy to spot. 😂
Whats odd, I didn’t see much muscle movement in her face.
I thought the same
Yeah cause she’s not making any expression?
Or she’s one of those people that don’t really have emotions 😮
Yeah dude she’s got tons of Botox
@ltrustgod finally someone smart
Thank you dr dray ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Did yall notice she had Botox 😂
Dead giveaway is how shiny before it is, I’ve noticed that
😂😂😂😂 she said say “you guys know I can’t move my face and hardly show any emotion”
Could just be some filter or lightning you don’t know these days doesn’t mean she necessarily had Botox. I know many people who never had a Botox and barely have wrinkles just genetically especially at her age
@CDe-n8v Filters don’t give that shine and lighting doesn’t either. It’s the way the texture is. There’s not even a tiny one.
Call me boneless 😅
Says the girl that can’t move her face…
Or remove that hideous septum-ring, presumably 🙄.
About to say the same thing.
@PeterH-be1xe its not for you peter
@elvirajj7126definitely not 🙄
she literally has the botox face😂
She’s pretty. Too bad that’s something you can’t say.
I think the problem today is women starting botox at the age of 18 to prevent wrinkles. Imagine starting at that age by the time they’re 50 they have been using it for 30 years.
And they are not only using it in the forehead but other areas as well , and some every 4 months.
I’m sure that will have an effect in the long run
I hate the scare tactics 😑 it’s ridiculous. Thank you for clearing this up
This made me wonder about other situations where muscles are weakened or inactive for long periods. For example, people with stroke-related weakness, Bell’s palsy, or paralysis can experience muscle atrophy, and in some cases bone density changes because bone responds to mechanical loading. Does that make the concern about neuromodulators biologically plausible, even if the current Botox data aren’t strong enough to show a clinically significant effect? Or are those situations too different because the degree and duration of muscle inactivity are much greater?
Talk about not moving your face! I get that this woman is young but not a muscle moved in her face except her lips.
I get these injections for advanced TMJ and Migraines. I hope I don’t have any long term effects. I’m 61 so my skeletal tissue is mature. Maybe that helps. It’s all fun and games until you can’t fully open your mouth and have chronic discomfort.
Being able to smile and squint your eyes and wrinkle your forehead is not generating any meaningful amount of bone density that’s not how it works
Yeah we don’t have the evidence. The evidence will come from us lab rats after enough time has passed
Considering the excruciating pain that Botox saves me in my jaw, I will take a little bone loss over spending the next aprox 70 years incapable of eating or speaking.
I think hormone loss after menopause causes bone lose.
If you have severe bruxism that’s wearing your teeth down despite wearing a dental splint at night & causing your face & neck to ache all day, you’ll take a bit of bone loss for some relief. Trust me.
i started usng gaba at night for that.
