I can put a HURTIN on a Vaseline jar! On my face on my body on my feet! Id spread it on my breakfast toast if i could. One of my favorite things to do during the cold winter is moisturize my body then do a layer of Vaseline on top of that after it has dried. I can stay moisturized all day!
I must be the only weirdo, I have to use my Cicaplast lip balm before I use the Vaseline or nothing happens lol But I do work in an Amazon warehouse with cardboard galore, and that contributes to extra dryness.
I use this everywhere—on my feet, knees, elbows, lips, and a thin layer on my face at night. It’s really versatile and keeps everything feeling soft and cared for!
Also not everyone know, you lose water through any surface of your body that includes the lips. Excess loss or inability to prevent that loss of water from the skin is what makes your skin dry. What vaseline does is it prevents that loss of water by sealing it at the skin surface and does making it plump even without any humectant. If you feel like vaseline is not moisturising then maybe your body is dehydrated and is an internal problem.
People really have a misunderstanding of skin physiology. It’s understandable as we’re marketed to so heavily to think that topicals are much more “powerful” than they really are. Most of the benefits of a moisturizer come from the occlusive.
I’ve been having serious lip issues thanks to an autoimmune disease. Have long avoided Vaseline because I didn’t want to put petroleum on my lips, but I got desperate. Dang that sucker really works.
the name petroleum jelly gives people the impression that it IS petroleum, it’s not. Petrolatum is so highly refined fhat petroleum is but a distant memory, it won’t hurt us applied externally and as u kno, works a great :)
People love to argue this point on Reddit. I’m a qualified esthetician (which truly means diddly squat) but even I learned about the miracle this is Vaseline 😂
Tbh while I do love vaseline, Aquaphor just does the job better for me because of the added ingredients. Its a shame tbh because its more expensive and I wish I could use vaseline more often but it does help me more than vaseline

💜💕same
I meannnnnn you could. Unlikely to kill ya but isn’t quite food.
@TerracottaOlive😊
Lmao. You are silly af. But same. I walk around greasy and shiny
@abellapizza I definitely do at night! I heard someone say go to bed looking like a “glazed doughnut”😂 keeps the wrinkles away🥰
It’s amazing for my lips
Vaseline lip therapy is my go-to lip mask. It beats every other lip mask I have tried, even Laneige, and at a fraction of the price.
Same here! Although I love the smell and feel of Laneige, it does absolutely 0 for my dry, dehydrated lips!
I prefer Cereve healing ointment as it has Vaseline AND hyaluronic acid AND ceramides it works amazingly 🤩
@CaitlinsJeanI ❤cereve healing ointment and Vaseline
I’m using it for my lips every day 👍
Still keep it in the house and know folks with great skin who only use it still

You and I are the same 😚 🥂

Vaseline has moisturized my lips better than any of the pricey overnight lip masks I’ve tried.
She must be Canadian
Petroleum.
Vaseline
Isn’t the USA pronunciation

Same. My skin prefers Aquaphor because bisabolol and lanolin are its favorites healing actives.
I’ll be 50 later this year. Been using vaseline as a moisturizer for years…
But it doesn”t have a fancy jar. Or fragrance. Or a high price tag. That stuff can’t possibly work.
Right? 😊
It’s literally a miracle lol. My go to to speed up the healing process of almost every skin ailment 😂

I feel like this is the more complete explanation that she didn’t get into for some reason.
👏👏👏

Just be careful not to get it too close to your eyes. I got a nasty eye infection from it that’s taken forever to resolve.
