Happy Thursday!
I literally just ordered Vanicream’s z bar this morning and used it in the shower like you’ve recommended. I really liked it! I also use salicylic acid products and Cerave dandruff shampoo. So thankful for your videos!
Awesome to hear!
Happy Thursday!!
Thanks for watching!
One of your videos on Selsun Blue from a while back literally cured me of my own tinea irritation so I always appreciate these! 😭👏
so glad to hear!
Yes i ordered a stronger version from Canadian website (the strength not available in US) and it’s helped my 2 sons.
“ except for you!!!” Story of my life. 🤣
I can attest to the effectiveness of ketoconazole. Years back, my doctor prescribed ketoconazole shampoo 2% and the application process was the same. Within a few days, spots got bigger and redder and itchier. After a week, they started to diminish, and eventually, they were gone for a good few years. But they do come back. The cream takes longer in my opinion, I used it too. But I’m going to try this OTC option now. I live in Puerto Rico with 60-70% humidity all year long, so you get the picture, it’s a recurring issue. But it works. Also, laser hair removal can activate it too, be aware.
Dr Dray, what about tretinoin as a treatment for TV?
Thank you for this valuable information, Dr. Dray and for making it so easy to take in.
Swisse Skincare Blemish remedy contains sulfur 10%, zinc oxide 5% and salicylic acid, amongst other beneficial ingredients for tinea versicolor and many other skin conditions, including acne. Even though it contains sulfur, it doesn’t smell like eggs 🍳🚫 😅 To me it’s aroma makes it very pleasant to use. “Swisse” is an Australian company. The drugstore “Chemist Warehouse” Australia stock this OTC product and do ship internationally (inc. USA)…and it is currently 50% off (AU$14.99).
I hope this helps. I have mentioned this product before, but there are always new viewers.👱❤️
Happy Thursday Dr Dray….see you tomorrow x💙🤩
I don’t have this but I watch for the entertaining presentation❤
Happy Thursday Dr Dray ❤
I don’t know anyone with this but it doesn’t sound fun. I know the information you’re giving will help those suffering with this. Happy Thursday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a beautiful evening. 💜
I had tinea versicolor as a teenager. I was horrified. I used Selsun Blue shampoo and it worked. But I put it on my skin and waited 10 minutes before getting in the shower. It did go away and my discoloration went away pretty quickly too. I’m now 64 and excited to hear it won’t return at this age. Thank you, Dr Dray, I greatly appreciate your professional advice. So much false information out there by uneducated influencers. I’m sure you’ve helped many. I’m a 365 days/year sunscreen user, thanks to you. Be well.
I dont have this, but I still watch this to help people that have it.
I used to get TV on my back and it was worst when I was younger. I’m thrilled to know that turning 65 could mean no more TV! For me, the oral meds worked great but my doctor only had me do it twice in a week. She also had TV so she could sympathize. Hoping I won’t be one of the unlucky people who continue to get it post-65! Thanks for a very informative video!
Always thankful for any info on this cuz it is a pain to deal with.
