yeah every time i see them they’re just spreading a bunch of misinformation and lies. i don’t get what the point of their podcast is because they just spew nonsense from everything i’ve seen

I was on acccutane for 7 months. I had nose bleeds, extreamly dry skin, and weak muscles that I had to stop exercising. After my treatment was done things went back to normal except I went from having oily skin to now having normal to dry-ish skin. Accutane saved my skin. People need to stop with the fear mongering. If you need it go to a dermatologist and they will work with you to get the right dosage. I was in my mid 20s at the time. Perfect time since my hormones were no longer in the adolescente stage trying to balance themselves out.
@@Username0467 Exactly! During the adolescente years our hormones are all over the place. People should wait to get out of the teenage stage before going on accutane. In my opinion of course.
I was almost put on accutane as a teenager because my acne was so severe it was causing me intense irritation, burning, pain, and scarring. Nothing over the counter was capable of calming my skin down and it felt like fire every day. Luckily it took a consistent course of a couple of oral antibiotics to get the acne to stop going as crazy and from there it improved over the span of 8 years.
@@Kalidreamine Dang that sucks. Stubborn acne is the worst. I went through 3 rounds of different antibiotics before accutane. Nothing seemed to work for me and accutane was literally my last resort. At that point in my life I didn’t care about the side effects because I was desperate to get rid of the cysts. What works for some people may not work for others. I’m glad you are acne free and found what works for your body.
I went on Accutane 3 times total. It helped with severe cystic acne, but my skin didn’t properly clear until several years later when my hormones started balancing out.
I was one of the few that Accutane didn’t work for. My doctor had me on it too long. My skin and lips dried out so much and 25 years later, I have a chunk of my lip missing because of it.
I was on Accutane for 6 months. I got blood work monthly and my liver results were never elevated. The only side effects I had was major purging to start out and dry skin that wasn’t bad if I used a moisturizer.
I resisted going on accutane for a decade but when I still had acne, especially on my chin, I gave in at 28. While most of the side effects went away after i stopped, I have permanent rib pain and sun sensitivity, and I’m black! It’s been 7 years since I came off it. It’s a serious drug she really shouldn’t minimise side effects.
I’ve had acne for 14 years and nothing really helped. I have been taking Accutane since April 24 and my acne has completely disappeared! Exactly such people have always scared me unnecessarily!
I took it on 3 rounds tbh, both 5/10/ 20 mg,all the dosage, made me super anxious/depressed had to go to therapist for it too, dried me like crazy,my lips stsrted bleeding and my hair was as dry as a desert honestly. But hey it did the work
And THIS is why we listen to Dr. Dray!
Oh, good to know ❤
That has to be a fake podcast right. They are everywhere these days.

I also took it in my mid 20s. I can’t believe so people stick their middle schoolers on it.

The other side effects sound awful.. weak muscles in your 20s to the point you can’t even exercise?? wtf

Great treatment for both Acne and Sebaceous Hyperplasia.

I’d like to meet this woman’s practitioner cuz someone be telling TALL TALES…and it ain’t Dr Dray.
When you have to say “practicioner” you know they are meeting in a tent in a forrest
Lmao. 🤌🏻👏🏻
😂😂😂😂😂
Please talk about the recent ish pubmed article about off label uses of isotretinoin! I love hearing about this stuff.
Sounds like her practitioner was her bartender too! Smh! 🫣🫢🤫
I was on 60mg for 5 months and 13 years later I’m still healthy and my skin is still a little oily but minimal acne. Worth it 🙏🏼

If you refer to Dr Dray, she doesn’t talk about any side effects, she only talks about the liver and blood work.
I agree. My joints got so much worse after and I got so dry that I got fissures and now I have recurring fissures
