  1. Yessss, Mine would burn like was on fire🔥turn beet red! Now I do what Dr Dray said, wait 30 mints after washing face much better🤗

  2. Someone on sephora told me that if my face stings after putting moisturizer it’s because my face is dehydrated…is this true?

    1. No I wouldn’t say that’s true at all. It could just mean your skin is sensitive and I’ve noticed that damp skin kind of activates any potential irritants in a lotion. But if my skin is dry I won’t have the irritation. Also if you’re layering and you don’t let previous products absorb 80-100% that can also cause irritation. If your skin is really dehydrated you’ll notice your lotions won’t fully absorb or Pentwater your skin and you’ll have a rough texture to it.

  3. I am extremely dry. If I do not dry my face fully before applying my Nivea (blue tin) then it sort of “dillutes” the moisturizer for me, if there’s any “hint” of water still on my skin it irritates me and tugs and pulls at my face (rendering it more dry). That is also why I can’t do those “fancy” (lol) creams from France with the thermal waters in them. Even those created for a dry face, dry out my skin. The only thing that ever worked for me was Nivea. I have been applying this since I was 3 (my mom), on the recommendation of our internist at the time. I am 50 now (picture is 2 weeks old). I don’t think I look half-bad for having dry skin.

    1. I just bought the Nivea in the blue tin for my hands. I haven’t even thought to try it on my face! I’ve been looking for a moisturizer that actually works for my dry skin. I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. Definitely going to try this tonight! Thank you ❤

    2. @Kristen 💕 A small amount goes a long way. I just dab a fingertip’s worth (not a glob) on my both cheeks, my forehead and my chin and spread that around. It does not take much (can get greasy fast otherwise). If it is a little “oily”, dab it a tiny bit after with a terrycloth towel (dry one), and it will be fine.

  4. I had been eyeing that Pyungkang Yul moisturizer before, but there was a lack of reviews on it, so I never got it. Now I’m tempted again 😂

  5. Does this concept apply to lip balms? Occasionally when I use certain lip balms they will burn but since it’s not every time I was considering maybe it’s due to my lips being wet after drinking/brushing teeth?

  6. Thank you! I’ve been experiencing this for some time. Not sure if it’s my skin barrier or what, but anything will set my skin off. Sometimes products I’ve used for months will suddenly set my skin off. Any little tips of tricks help 😊

  7. For me it’s layering products that sometimes burns. For example, my derm prescribed Bioderma 3 in 1 eye cream and it’s good but I can’t layer it with my other eye cream or it will burn and cause inflammation. I can use them separately though with a lot of time in between. It’s frustrating because even if I test a product on my hand I can’t know if it will react with other products in combination. Sensitive skin can be frustrating. My derm told me to stay away from retinol due to my sensitivity and occasional eczema but I really wish I could keep on it since so many people see benefits.

  8. I dab at my face very lightly with a towel after washing. Then I let my skin finish drying without rubbing it. Unless you use hypoallergenic laundry detergents and put vinegar in the rinse cycle every other time, you’ll have hard water and detergent film left in your towels.
