I’m 73 and still use a salicylic acid wash once each day ,not for acne but because it gets into the pores and helps keep them from getting gunked up…true..I swear 🤟😁
I used that cetaphil wash and it’s waaaay too gentle to notice any changes even after a few months 😂 then again my case is a little more severe so maybe that’s why
I used to get acne on my back and the neutrogena body clear salicylic acid wash cleared it up. Also panoxyl cleared up my inflammatory cystic acne. These are great products!
are there any alternatives to benzoyl peroxide for underarms? I tried it once but unfortunately found out I’m allergic. I also really regretted not patch testing it first. using it in the shower makes it run down the rest of your body from under your arms and I ended up with hives on most of my torso and down onto my hips. not fun. so remember to patch test even if it’s annoying and you just want to see if the product works for you. you could end up being allergic and a patch test can avoid stuff like what happened to me
Hi Doctor, Is it true that the bacteria under the arms can develop resistance to Panoxyl over time, rendering it ineffective ? Do you have any specific recommendations for its use, such as starting with the 4% formula before moving to the 10%, and whether it should be applied daily in the shower or just a few times a week?
I always wonder why these actives, when and how to use them is not something taught at the highschool in a subject named _Human Body 101_ Many many thanks for your educational work🧛🏻♀️🖤
Yes to the benzoyl peroxide! We’ve been using salicylic acid wash from the collarbone down for years, and it was good..But when I ran out of body wash a few weeks ago, I decided to just use my generic 10% benzoyl peroxide face wash as body wash until I was making a trip to the store in a week or two. Unexpectedly, it made a dramatic reduction in the intense itchiness my husband had on his midsection and back on these small clusters of bumps he had for quite some time. I had him continue using the generic BP wash, and now at a month of daily use, the bumps & redness are pretty much gone. He no longer needs to use steroid creams or analgesics topicals. I love finding solutions to our problems by accident. 😄
Go to the pharmacy, I’m sure they have something similar or better. I tend to find European products are more effective than US due to their ingredients
I found out in a weird way that if you cut out sugar (including fruit) and vegetables that you won’t stink, sweat or sunburn… it’s amazing you don’t even have to wear deodorant ..
Happy Sunday Dr Dray excited to be here. Thanks for this great advice have a good night.
Using Cerave salycilc acid cleanser changed my life! My skin is clear. I have struggled with bad acne all of my life

Salycilc acid is my skin care journey turning point
tried for the frist time and I got somehow burned for 3 days, my skin after that got used to it, and my skin looks better now!
The panoxyl was a little to strong so I changed to an acne wash With salicylic acid.
It is great after your workouts and really helps with acne ingrown hairs and cysts. It seems to be gentle and not burning my skin.
Did you happen to use the 10% panoxyl? If so you could try lowering to the 4% it’s less irritating
Literally saving my skin one video at a time God ilysm!!
Lactic acid is not enough to get rid of KP. It just improves the condition
@Night-Shade depends on how severe your condition is but yes you’re not wrong

@Kylie Exactly and you have to stay consistent or it flares up.
@Definitely Not a Ferret My case is severe too. Any new products I purchase are under trial and I see whether it’s worth it or not to repurchase them.
The video we needed!
Let’s be honest, it’s going to take more than some cleansers for me to look good naked. 🤣
Me, too!
OOP SAME 💀
Haha this comment made me chuckle – jup here too
😆😆😆😆 can relate😅
KP can also benefit from Amlactin lotion or Cerave SA cream for rough and bumpy skin ❤

Wow i would have thought an acne wash would have been way too harsh for the sensitive underarm skin
That panoxyl wash changed everything for me. Genuinely my skin has never been so clear and my underarms smell better than they once did too!
You are right.panoxyl acne wash neutralise my armbits odor alonng the day, although I dont use a deodorant.
Can salicylic acid help with hyperpigmentation on the body that wasn’t caused from acne?

Use salicylic acid instead! That’s what I do.
How is this not viral yet? Let’s make it happen, people

Cries in Europe not selling Benzoyl peroxide washes
