Love your Costco skin care shop-with-me trips! ❤ I have to get a membership one day. 😁
Thanks for watching
Oh my goodness! When I first got those little bumps on my hand, I thought it was poison ivy! Thank goodness my doctor gave me a cream that cleared it up. Also, my grandmother slept wearing white gloves at night after using rose water and glycerine. Memories! Have a great day!
It is miserable
Ive dealt with his too I work in a hospital and in a college lab so lots of handwashing i was given clobetasol to help with the inflammation/itching but buying my own soap that was less stripping was what really helped me. Im going to try what your grandmother did!
My doc gave me a cream didn’t help much but I’ve been really aware of everything I get in my hands the biggest thing that messed with my hands was dawn and anything with coloring in it especially blue. I rarely have the issue now also foaming hand soaps reduce the change of reaction to.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 congratulations on no cavities! I love to go shopping with you! Thanks for taking me with you! Have a blessed weekend!🥰
Thanks 😊 Have a great weekend
My eye doctor said Lumify is actually a weak version of a glaucoma medication and it has a decades-long safety profile. She said it doesn’t cause vasoconstriction or rebound redness, and she uses them herself. Obviously, people need to check with their own eye doctor!
I used it and it works great and most eye drops don’t work on me.
@Samantha Barnes I was wanting to try the Lumify drops, but am sensitive to preservatives. I use the Refresh eye drops, and the gel ones, but they don’t work too well for getting the red out. I do have allergies, and live in a desert climate. Wish there was something preservative free for redness. Can you suggest anything ? Thanks. ☺️
@Debbie Walker I would try putting your drops in the fridge for one since the coolness alone can help vasoconstrict and makes the eyes look whiter, maybe consider adding over the counter pataday once a day in the morning to see if it helps with the redness since it’s for treating allergies
@Debbie Walker pataday is a combination of a fast acting antihistamine drop and a long acting mast cell stabilizer so even though it has preservatives regular once daily use can have cumulative effects
The last time I used them I almost fainted it, my eye pupils felt like a sudden dilation and was painful.
Dental school clinics are fantastic! It’s not just that you only pay for the materials; the dental work is in my top three dentist experiences (?). Takes a bit longer, but that might be a good thing. The students are advised by all sorts of professors too while they work on your teeth.
I use dental clinics you can get your teeth filled and cleaned they are very good if you are on a tight budget.
Dental students/hygienists will sometimes even pay their patients to come to their exam. It probably depends on the area you’re in but it does happen. Students often advertise on Facebook looking for patients not only for exams but for their clinicals while in school. Hope that helps!
So very true! Do not neglect your Teeth. Infected/bad teeth can affect the Heart in a negative way. Thanks Dr. D! I hope you enjoy your weekend, and I’ll catch you tomorrow
Thanks for the eye drop info. Was so confused by all the options I ended up buying nothing. Had bought eye drops for dry eyes awhile back and seemed like it made it worse. Now I know why, it had that preservative.
Loved this—so much great info on overall health regarding allergies, eye drops, dental care!!!
I find dyshydrotic eczema so confusing. If sweat makes it worse, you would think occlusion (ointment +gloves) would also be a trigger. I hate how finicky skincare is sometimes (all the time actually lol)
I love the white cotton gloves with a really thick emollient moisturizer I usually do moisturizer and then Vaseline on top of that and then the gloves. You can get boxes of about seven pairs on Amazon with a little mesh bag to wash them in.
I have indoor and outdoor allergies so my symptoms are year-round. I started immunotherapy – allergy shots – last year and they have helped a lot! I still take an antihistamine daily, but I no longer feel like I am drowning in my own phlegm and mucus.
Damn allergies 🤧 I feel ya
Last February I got a case of Eczema (lasted almost 4 months) my hands & feet had those bumps on the most, it was so miserable I thought my husband was going commit me. Back & forth to the Dermatologist lots of cream constantly. Took Zyrtec (still taking it, I’m afraid to get it back). I feel for anyone who gets it.😭😭😭
I love your shout out to dental schools! When I was a student it was so strenuous to have to find all of my patients (and depend on them to show up for their appointments so I could pass) for not only clinic rotations but for the board exam as well! ❤
Hi Dr. Dray, Thank you so much for sharing I just recently started getting the little water blisters and thought UGH poison ivy, like another person commented, or just another issue of some sort with all my autoimmune issues! I’m definitely OCD about washing my hands since the pandemic and man the little blisters do itch like crazy, so I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. Thank you again! 😊✌
I’m finally on the mend from the hand eczema. It’s been 3 months!!! So happy you’re talking about this! Thank you!!
Hi Dr. Dray I have followed you from Queensland in Australia for years and we have a humid hot summer coming up. I want to thank you in these difficult times money is very tight and you are a lifesaver. I really enjoy your informative videos and just want to say thank you and you are appreciated. xx
My anxiety is through the roof today, and your shop with me videos always help me relax. Much needed today ty ❤
Yay for Costco! I spend way too much time in there when I go. I can’t resist going down just about every aisle. Lol! Several years ago, my sister had a root canal done at a dental school. No issues at all. Enjoyed the video but now I want to go to Costco even though I just went last week and it’s quite a hike for me. 😂 Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a lovely weekend. ❤
My sister is a dentist and had to find her own patients for her boards. My parents needed a TON of dental work and she brought my mom. The examiner was so impressed with how she did with her complicated Eastern European dental problems that he (the examiner) actually offered her a job on the spot. She didn’t want to move to another state and she didn’t take it – I bet her life would have been really different!!
I just got off accutane for the second time (20 years in between) and i used the refresh drops then put overnight eye ointment in right before bed and that helped a lot. They sell a 4 bottle pack of the reusable refresh drops on sale for around $15 at my Costco so look out for that! slightly cheaper than single use vials
