  1. Hi Dr Dray So Excited to be here for Dr Dray time on Friday my favorite time of the day i live for this❀

  2. I hope that many people see yesterday’s video on how to get clearer skin. I suffered from acne in the early 80s and my doctor at the time said to take advantage of the summer sun to clear my skin. This of course led to a lifetime of skin problems. Thank goodness I started to follow you in 2020 and now I have the best skin of my life. I encourage anyone who suffers from acne to follow Dr Dray’s advice.

    1. I cant recommend enough!! In my 20s had worst skin…until end of 2019, I found Dr. Dray and since then all the advice helped me get clear skin. I can actually look at myself in the mirror when I brush my teeth and enjoy my skincare routine.
      Thank you !!! Dr. Dray

  3. Happy Friday dr Dray and everyone ! Another great video . I think skin care companies make so much profit off so many looking for the latest and greatest . I am always amazed how every month a ton of products “new and improved ” I am so happy I found you a few years ago . I now have a few core products I use regularly . Including a K Beauty brand – Beauty of Joseon . I would have never found this without you !! Have an amazing day ! love to mom and Tybee xoxoxoxo

  4. Dr Davin Lim (Australia) has a video on Dermal Melanocytosis AKA Hori’s Naevus. There are also some parts of our bodies that will be darker naturally and can’t be “fixed” and is normal (especially for those of us with darker skin tones). But there are so many messages saying if something is dark on your body there’s something wrong and you need to fix it.

  5. Happy Friday Dr. Dray!! Thank you for this Video, I Learn So Very Much from You!… You’re the Best!! Have a Fantastic Day, and Weekend!! Love and Blessings Always!!πŸ™πŸ•Šβ€οΈπŸ•ŠπŸ™

    1. @Dr Dray Thank You So Much Gorgeous Lady!! Love and Blessings Always!!πŸ™πŸ’ŸπŸ•ŠπŸ’ŸπŸ™

  6. What about hyperpigmentation from sun damage in my younger years? Now in my 50’s it looks horrible despite my diligent sunscreen usage for last few years (wish I had been better about it when I was young). Arms/shoulders are covered with damage and I’ve tried BBL, Hydroquinone and Retinol through Musely prescription and nothing really helping much. Ugh. I know it’s permanent damage but was hoping to fade it more.

    1. Have you checked out her video, how to fade sun damage on the face & body? There’s also the video on healing sun damage on the neck.

    2. We’ve known for sometime that prevention is so much easier than treating. I was born in 1980 and my parents didn’t know about sunscreen. I was a teen in the 90’s and constantly got made fun of for my pale skin and big lips. I tried tanning in the 2000’s and was never a fan of how boring my makeup looked with tan skin. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis around 30 and I still wasn’t diligent about sunscreen even though I avoided the sun as much as possible. It was 2016 when I started to notice melasma on my giant dome of a forehead. I’ve given up on trying to treat the melasma aggressively because my dermatologist prescribed me tretinoin/hydroquinone and because of the inflammation due to the tretinoin (with vaseline on my face even!) My melasma spread and darkened. I swear by korean skincare products for the most part and I also alternate an azelaic acid/kojic acid niacinamide/ vitamin c serum with a hydroquinone/niacinamide/vitamin c serum that my derm prescribed since the tretinoin exasperated the issue. The best way for me has been low and slow as to not aggravate my skin. I also learned that for my melasma I have to use at the very least a mineral/chemical hybrid if not a full mineral sunscreen. If you’re dealing with hyperpigmentation I also use murad environmental shield rapid dark spot correcting serum. It’s very expensive but seems to be helping. In my current routine
      1. Glow recipe pha bha pore tight toner.
      2. Innisfree balancing toner with green tea
      3. Good molecules Discoloration correction serum
      4. good molecules cold pressed rosehip oil
      5. Bio oil skincare oil
      6. Honest beauty hydrogel cream
      7. Glow recipe glow screen broad spectrum spf. 50 hybrid with 12.1% zinc oxide + niacinamide.
      8. My BFF besides the sunscreen, VASELINE! This list was in no particular order of use, nor do I use all of these at the same time lol! I have very dry skin so depending on dry, combo, oily tailoring to those needs is a necessity. Best hyperpigmentation ingredients are azelaic acid, arbutin, kojic acid, licorice root extract, niacinamide, vitamin c, tranexamic acid, hydroquinone, vitamin a, and zinc or zinc oxide. Best of luck to u with your hyperpigmentation journey and as James Welsh says, “remember skin care is all about progression over perfection because perfection doesn’t exist!” πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

    3. @Melody Blackhall It’s not your parent’s fault. It’s science and the industry. TIME reveals truths, though it may not be in your lifetime. NO ONE knew.

  7. No dermatologist explained to me like you, what I have had on my back for over 10 years 😒 my intuition always told me not to sunbathe IT in my 20s, don’t wash it with soap with SLS. And that’s what I’ve been doing for decades. thank you doctor πŸ’ž p.s I’m half polish, half lebanese and have always loved lying in the sun and in tanning beds πŸ₯΄

  8. I really appreciate these videos that focus on health/dermatological issues that don’t necessarily have any cosmetic solutions, but are nonetheless concerns for people who may suffer from them. I hadn’t even heard of this particular condition. Many derms on YT focus primarily on cosmetic concerns and products, and not enough on other skin concerns and their prescription medications — or even just leaving stuff alone if it’s not a serious condition, such as this.

  9. Happy Friday Miss Andrea how are you? I hope you are terrific and sublime as you already are ☺️ (what a lovely green sweater πŸ˜πŸ’š). You really know how to never really never cease to amaze i am really dumbfounded. Today’s video is a key to those who are on a wild goose chase. Chasing the inevitable which is given to them falsely by cosmetic brands. Knowing what we have is essential both for us as well as the doctor who is going to treat us to heal us from what we possibly have either be treatable to some extent or not (and also money saving). What a brilliant mind of yours amazing πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œβ˜ΊοΈπŸ’ŸπŸ’“πŸ’—πŸ’–

  10. I have a little crush on Andrea.😊 I think she’s so charismatic, down-to-earth and funny. Just gorgeous. Have a great weekend!

  11. Can you do a video about the correlation of weight gain and acne? specifically for adult women. i am not finding enough information about this on the internet. I gained a lot of weight during the pandemic and my acne became a lot worse compared to before the weight gain. i am in my 30s, so this hormonal acne is a mystery to me. hard to pinpoint source of acne for each person, too many factors. This acne pattern has gone on long enough that I am almost certain it is mostly due to weight gain. I was reading that weight gain can increase androgen hormones, which can contribute to increased acne. Love your helpful content! one of my favorite health related youtube channels

  12. Dr Dray, have you seen the YouTube video β€œTretinoin Debate” on The Honest Channel? It’s a doctor, a scientist, and a commentator talking about research on topical Tretinoin and differ from some of what we’ve heard on using Tretinoin over time. I would love to heard your thoughts on this.

  13. I’ve seen this condition on people but never knew what it was. Thank you for educating me on Sao many different skin conditions. I always refer anyone I know that frustrated by a condition they have to your channel and suggest that they see a dermatologist, of course. Happy Friday, Dr Dray!! Hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a blessed weekend. πŸ’ž

  14. Love your videos Dr. Dray! Can you discuss the Beverly MD dermal repair complex? I saw a tik tok advertisement discussing the benefits of saw palmetto and taking HA orally. Can taking this supplement actually improve skin health?
