Well now I feel better. When I went to my newest dermatologist, her assistant said something about keeping the underwear on top and bottom. One of the reasons I was going in was because of a mess under my boobs. And I told her assistant, Oh, no, she is not going to miss the s**tshow that is going on under my boobs.
And I made her look down below too because my GYN said he didn’t know what something was. She said that was for a g y n. I said he said it was for a dermatologist. Jeez.
Underwear on top and bottom? 😂😂…

I wish the derm would have checked my butt cheeks.6 months to get in and no one looked at me before she said I need to get an acne wash from Walmart. Decided it wasn’t worth the wait when it did nothing for my issues.
I had melanoma 25 years ago, and had to be persistent to get it biopsied. Now, my yearly skin checks include scrutiny of ALL private parts, even though the melanoma was on my back. 🙂
Have had several “full body” skin exams from several dermatologists and not one has looked between my butt cheeks or in my mouth. Hmmmm

I went in to get a cyst checked out and the Dr asked to look at my midsection, spotted a cherry angioma, and cheerfully asked if I had any questions about it 😊

Sheit… My current dermatologist was a board certified PA. Homie was spot on with everything. Got me off the wrong meds and put me on Skyrizi. That solved everything. My other dermatologist who were wrong on everything they gave me and what they had diagnosed were MD’s. The main difference between my PA and MD dermatologist is that the PA listened to what I was saying. I asked question and he asked question. We both got answers. We both listened to each other. Communication is key.

Wow I get a skin check every year they have NEVER asked me to look there or my scalp I noticed spots in my scalp and had to tell them to look at it ..
I had a skin cancer in the fold of my leg, groin area. You bet I want my derm to check out everywhere.

I’ve had skin checks for years with many skin cancers and not once have they checked my butt cheeks at all

My dermatologist for my first appointment didn’t say anything to me, just looked at me and wrote a prescription
LOL in my country at some point you went to a dermatologist only to check private parts. My mother told me that when she was a child, she had to go to the dermatologist and other people waiting for the visit were shocked and said, “a child with an STD?!”, yes dermatologist were only for STDs
BTW: any good doctor will *warn* you before they examine private areas, and tell you that refusal is an option.
