Try layering with something you do like the scent of! I put a layer over any lip product I use and it makes it last much longer while also smelling better than just plain Vaseline (:
I accidentally bit off the hardend flakes, and my lips started bleeding terrible. My mom grabbed the petroleum jelly- and wow! Tastes gross, but healed my lips 😂
It’s so funny listening to two highly respected “social media dermatologists” with 2 completely different takes on the lips. One says to exfoliate using glycolic this one says absolutely not. It’s all educated guesses and personal preference.
Disgree im afraid. I use a glycolic acid one. I need it. I have sjogren, and my lips will not shed and they end up with a thick layer of leather on them. Removing this gives the ability to moisturise.

Carmex is the one to go to.. Like in November -december my lips looked like frosted glazed donuts 😢 horrible, yes I was peeling it , and ouch! I got to blister instead I started to use all lips balm and nothing. So I started with normal Cocoa oils then the yellow lipstick from carmex medicated one in 3day my lips were back to normal
Thank you for this. I do not exfoliate, the wind burn, and sun (boat). The sunblock on top all times chap sticks are sandpaper. I wonder the aquaphor is good or bad? I seen it in cvs checkout line, never saw it. Looked like blistex old thingy. Is it the same as petroleum jelly you say? This I can use in the sun?
CeraVe healing ointment has worked wonders for my dry cracked lips. I loVe it💋also good for eyelids😊
Omg yes! So great for eyelids!!
I use it on my lips at night too! 🙌🏻
Its not fancy but petroleum jelly is the best for ultra chapped lips! Never fails me if they get that bad
Petroleum jelly my only go-to for lips. Better than any other ointment and certainly better than any kind of stick.
The one thing that has saved my lips has been cicaplast balm then petroleum jelly ontop. My lips have never been so soft!
I use plain Vaseline but only at night because I hate the way it tastes/smells 😩
Use paw paw ointment it’s mostly Vaseline.

I try but I pick so bad 😢😢😢

Is Triple Paste safe for lips at night?
I use bee’s wax for chapped lips that along with a petroleum lip balm usually does it at bedtime ( in my 70s)
1 large tub of aquaphore sits on my bedside table
Would an enzyme product be suitable?
what? petroleum jelly on my flaky crusty lip? that feels uncomfortable. i usually wipe my lips after shower so that the dead skin cells fall off

But she was talking about everyday dry chapped lips.
Your situation is a medical condition which gives rise to an abnormal dryness , so it’s very different and uncommon

Dr.Dray, Target discontinued their up and up sfp lip balm! 😭 What’s the next best option?!
