  1. Happy Wednesday! I always enjoy when you share the science of how things work. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  2. I started taking magnesium supplements (my levels were low in bloodwork) and it has helped with the dry skin on my legs. I was thinking about this earlier today and wondering what I was doing differently which could be helping my dry skin. Very timely for me Dr. Dray. Thank you

  3. Im taking magnesium internally. ^___^ Super helpful for vit D absorption and my eczema really cleared up. Those 300 biochemical enzymatic reactions are very essential. ^_____^ I had eczema since childhood very severe and after removing as much of my allergic aggressors in my environment, water filter, and water barrier and skin calming creams and steroids, still the movement was not happening. Even with immunotherapy it helped a bit but was temporary. Finally noticing taking various chelated magnesium versions really helped. My skin did not feel as tight and dry anymore. Its honestly the reason why I got into biochemistry in college.

    1. I’m here to also ask for any supplement suggestions. I have a daughter who suffers with eczema the same way.

  4. Absolutely fascinating, Dr. Dray. You amaze me every day. You would be a brilliant Professor. Thank you for educating us every single day. You are incredible ❤

  5. I take a magnesium supplement and it makes a huge difference in terms of my mood and ADHD symptoms. I feel off when I don’t take it

  6. ✨❣️Magnesium can help with some types of migraines. When I read this 12 years ago, I thought it may help with my ocular migraines…along with all of the other benefits. I haven’t had a migraine in 12 years❤️

  7. Happy Wednesday, Dr. Dray and friends!🎊 Thanks for making your topics so interesting, easy to understand and totally enjoyable! Your channel is such a gift!🫶✌️❤️❤️❤️

  8. Very in-depth and informative! You’re so right about bad diets with older folks. Meal prep for one person is hard. I get overwhelmed trying to balance nutrients while only needing one small meal a day. I occasionally take a multivitamin for older people and hope for the best.

  9. Thank you so much! I’ve got itchy upper arms every now and then, and just this week I randomly put some topical magnesium on it and it helped against the itching! Normally magnesium itches my skin a bit, but itch + itch = neutral on my skin apparently 😄
I’ll try this on my boyfriend, who has eczema on his legs, as well!

  10. You combine two of my most passionate interest, skin care and nutrition. I guess it’s all under the umbrella of health and functional vitality. You’re the best, thank you for all that you do!

  11. I have it for leg cramps at night. I’m glad it does more for me. Thank you and have a wonderful Wednesday!

    1. @Lori Abercrombie
It seems she was just saying that it ALSO helps with her menstrual cramps, in addition to other muscle cramps.

  12. Another reason to love magnesium even more!!

It has really helped my migraines. 600 mg of magnesium glycinate can stop a migraine in its tracks (for me)! It’s better than any prescription or over the counter drugs.

Magnesium glycinate is the form that is well absorbed and unlikely to cause loose stool. Great for calming and relaxation.

    1. Magnesium chloride oil spray helps my migraines as well! I use it on my neck! – everyday as prevention!

Remember: if it cause you to itch it’s because you’re deficient.

    2. @Shan S.I would probably take it before bed because it promotes the muscles to relax. I take mine at night. I read it doesn’t matter what time of day you take it, just be consistent. Hope that helps. Best of health!

  13. I just wanted to say thank you for your content. You’re helping me through a quite difficult break-up. Ever since skin care became a new hobby for me and a welcomed way to distract myself. And I just realised that I instantly feel better when I’m watching one of your videos.

    1. I started watching after a divorce. It was great to be able to focus on something helpful, ways to improve myself and feel more confident. Plus she’s so entertaining and has the best community of commenters. I’m glad you’re here! Hang in there

  14. Here from Maldives 🇲🇻. Thank you so much for your continued help in educating us skincare fanatics 🤍🙌🏽

  15. I wish you had discussed the different TYPES of Magnesium. As a transplant patient I take magnesium glycinate supplements. There is also magnesium oxide (most common on drugstore shelves) which is for constipation. There is a third type also, but my memory fails me. My question is does the mag glycinate help the skin?

    1. The 3rd one you are thinking of is magnesium citrate. That also helps with relaxation and can help with constipation, better than magnesium oxide, imo. I’ve tried them all. 😊

  16. I was so excited to watch this video. I bought a bath/shower gel that I bought at TJ Maxx with lavendar and magnesium. I thought I was losing my mind that my skin looked awesome from my body to even my facial skin. I bought it for the lavender but ultimately love it for what I think is the magnesium. Cant find it anywhere but will look for other gels that may contain it. I have been using the product for over a year. Thank you for clarifying that i might not be loca de cabesa!😅

  17. This was very interesting! I learn so much from you, Dr Dray. And your continued generosity with your knowledge and time is very much appreciated. Happy Wednesday! I hope you have a relaxing evening. 💖
