Maybe this works for her, but I don’t understand why she’s putting it over her makeup. I don’t think that’s just a camera filter – it really appears she’s wearing concealer/foundation under her eyes. I’ve recently started using a vitamin c under eye serum that’s in a roller that seems to be minimizing the appearance of dark circles, but with the shape of my eyes, I will always have dark crescents. And so far it has not been irritating. I also have to make sure my allergies are managed!
Hi, Dr. Dray! I am very new to your channel and this my first time posting. I have dark circles and it is definitely due to the positioning of my eye sockets. I like to apply a cooling stick before makeup and use Vanicream cream as an eye cream. I’ve been avoiding any sunscreen near my eyes over fear of burning but you have convinced me to give the Vanicream sunscreen (mineral) a try. I appreciate your sensibilities and your quiet sense of humor.
What can one do for dark circles?
try almond oil with castor oil mixed and sleep for 7-8 hours

No comment on the dark circles, but I’m with you on the glycerin-heavy gels for moisturizing around the eyes to depuff and I also seem to respond well to caffeine for my puffy morning eyes.

What hepls me the most for dark circles is Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector eye cream with thiamdol, I don’t have eye bags though

What solutions does someone with dark circles have? My dark circles are due to my genetics, no matter what product ive used I havent seen much change. Ive heard of products like hydroquinone but it kinda scares me since I heard it can make the pigmentation worse if used wrong 😬 but I wanna know whats the best and safest methods to get rid of dark circles
Hydroquinone and other brightening ingredients like vitamin C will only work if the darkness is pigmentation on your skin. If it’s because of veins/darkness showing under your skin caffeine might help, but only a bit. There are surgical procedures like under eye fillers but even those I’m not sure – but for these you’d need a consultation with a specialist so they could discuss the options with you. I have just accepted concealer as my best friend…
