    1. I have suffered with Autoimmune Seborrheic dermatitis and Rosacea since 1987! Both of my grandfathers had skin diseases, so I think I inherited these things from them! My skin is dry on my arms and legs and I have to wear constant moisturizers, especially after a shower!

  1. My mom used capsaicin aka sensocaps 0,075% for her back itch and i totally agree that itch and pain are brothers in arms because my mom’s back not only itch and it was accompanied by an unpleasant feeling of pain and capsaicin help alleviate those symptoms 😊❤. Thanks for informing us Doctor Andrea ❤.

  2. My podiatrist suggested Capsaicin when I had numbness in my toes and it worked pretty well. Didn’t bring them all the way out of it, but they def improved.

I’ve had insatiable itching on my upper back for a couple years. I also just had cervical spine X-rays showing moderate-severe degeneration. You just put the two together for me. 🧐🤔 That might be the ticket!! Thank you!!

  3. I have anxiety induced itching starts at one part of my body spreads all over and it just gets worse and then goes away on its own but always comes back 💯

  4. Wow! I think I maybe know the reason why my mom’s arm to shoulder was itchy. Sadly she passed away.

  8. thank you dr. dray ! my grandma has been suffering from itchy arms. her doctor prescribed BENADRYL to help with the itchiness 🙄 i just ordered some capsaicin cream for her.

  9. This has ruined so many vacations. I wear sunscreen. In fact, i thought i was allergic to sunscreen. So I kept trying different brands. I never get a burn. But at night, the arms itch. Then the next night, my legs itch too and sleep goes out the window. Wearing long sleeves has helped a lot. Moisturizing lotions help too. But, it’s an ongoing project and i am relieved to have more tips.

  10. Not brachialradial but I’ve suffered aqueous pruritus for over a decade and doctors kept telling me it was dry skin. 🤨 A 30 something woman mistaking dry skin. Uh huh.

It’s absolutely torturous. I used to beat my legs with brush just to change the type of pain– but I gave myself serious hematomas. It gets bad in summer because sweating triggers it too. Last year, finally, I was prescribed hydroxyzine to take before showering to reduce it. It helps but I’m still afraid of showering, feels like russian roulette. I’m gonna try ice packs too.

  11. Dr Gray, thank you for this information. My 21 year old daughter has struggled with itching on her wrists, tummy, neck, legs this summer. She has changed sunscreen so many times. Dermatologist put her on steroids for a week but when she finished the dosage, the itch came back. They sent her to an allergist who took blood to see if it’s environmental, results will take 2 weeks. Other option to do a scratch test which costs over $1,000 if insurance won’t cover. They even told her they may never find the reason for the itch with all these tests.
