They have for me but I can’t say that they would work every time or that it’s immediate. Sometimes can take a few days but I’ve had them work for getting them to come to the surface.
Sometimes the pimple patches with microdarts can puncture the skin to deliver some of the acne medication. I found it helped with some of the cystic acne but not all.
I think they work great. The silicone keeps moisture near the pore, making the skin soft so that it can erupt and move on. And it stops me from picking at it.
I’ve never heard of someone seeing a derm to inject something in a pimple. It always takes nearly a year to get seen. How do people make an appointment like this?
Youre right the assumption is you already have a dermatologist that youre seeing every few months then you can ask them to call you if someone cancels and get an injection
I my experience, doctors can usually work you in faster if it’s an immediate need. Idk about the dermatologist, but I think that’s why appointments take so long to get, they’re mostly attending to things that need to be dealt with right now
I used to have these in middle school i feel her pain literally. Honestly its worth the relief to get a blemish tool and pop it and let it drain. Sorry not sorry.
I always think it’s funny dr Dray mentions pimple patches for protection from picking when literally nobody uses it for that purpose – they use them because they draw out all the crap from the pimple haha
Years ago, i had cystic acne…ICE those cysts…BID and follow with meds. At the time i used a BPO overnight. The ice brought down the inflammation so quickly and thereby decreased the pain/tenderness associated with the cysts.
I never wanted to Dr. Pimple Popper something so bad in all my life 😅😂 That was painful to look at it was so red and inflamed 😢. Thank you Dr.Dray 🥰 I appreciate all your vids 💝💝💝
Wish I knew about the steroid injections when I was getting them on my face decades ago. Might’ve kept me from squeezing. Can you talk about the similarities and differences between Kate Summerville 3% sulfur wash and prescription 5% sulfur 10% sulfacemide (wrong spelling but you probably know what I mean) please 🙏
If I don’t express a cystic acne, it will shrink down after a few days but there will still be a small bump. I think that’s the root/seed of the acne because weeks later it will act up and another deep pimple will be born in the same place. Then I have no choice but to go in and squeeze it until I get all of it out. Then I have to live with the hyperpigmentation for the next 2 months 😩
Do pimple patches work on stubborn closed comedones? Great video

Definitely more efficient on blackheads and excess sebum in large pores 🎉

What? I love hydrocolloid patches for my pimples, it sucks the stuff out overnight if it’s close enough to the surface.
They’re AMAZING!!!! 🎉🎉
The patch is not “sucking the stuff out”, the pimple is oozing out via pressure from the pus building up. Then the patch is the receiver
Is that a “pimple”, or a full-blown boil with cellulitis that requires medical attention?! 😬
@PeterH-be1xe I think it requires medical attention personally. Well I would try see my doctor if that thing erupted in my forehead
I had cystic acne throughout my 20s. It was such a horrible time. The only treatment that helped was steroid injections.
Even when they don’t work on a pimple they help keep me from poking at it and the see-through ones help hide them.
I try so hard not to pick at my skin but it’s almost subconscious and I automatically do it :(

They often can work you in because it is quick.
@@ivana5618I can’t afford that lol like many other folks.

Ouch. That looks painful!

Yes they do, work miracles for me!!
i use it for that bruh speaking for every body 💀
i use them for that purpose 🤨 they’ve been great at keeping the itch to poke and prod at spots away, even before there’s any gunk ready to “draw out”

I don’t like pimple patches. They keep the zit too moist and it doesn’t heal.
So, what do you do to a pimple like that if you CAN’T get into a derm for an injection?😳
Do you think Adapalene would help Rosacea? It popped up this year on one cheek. I got it to go away a few times but…I don’t remember what I used 😂
For me, Adapalene made my rosacea worse. Try using niacinamide or sulfur.

It doesn’t look like a pimple, it looks like a boil with pus.
The patches don’t seem to work for me unless the pimple is about to burst. When it finally bursts, I’m pretty sure it just picks up the pus.
