As much as I hate looksmaxxers, they actually possess decent scientific knowledge about things like this and would actually tell you to wear sunscreen.
Free of speech has literally evolved into, spread as much false information as possible. The fact that these types of people continues to have platforms is beyond me
“base coat” to “keep you from burning” doesn’t even make sense. uhmm he looks burnt 🙃 and also some people cannot tan, i am one of them. i only burn… even if i have a “base coat” of sun. ridiculous. also dont listen to someone who wears a malibu hat and never wears sun screen
The only antioxidant that comes close to that, is lycopene (technically a carotenoid). It doesn’t act as a sunscreen, but it does protect the dna of cells in such a manner that it will inhibit cellular apoptosis (where the cells self-destruct). It isn’t known whether or not the compound is able to protect against genetic mutations consequent to uv radiation.
I sat next to a lovely woman that was my same age. As we talked and got to know each other, she spent most of her life outdoors (Florida) no sunscreen. How did i know this? Her skin was deeply wrinkled with lots if skin discoloration. She was a beautiful woman but the damage that years in the sun unprotected caused was very evident. Wear sunscreen everyday. Those rays will age you.
Aka getting a first burn to tan afterwards during the warm season, which he seems to imply as well… thanks for the pertinent infos
Is that a wig he is wearing?
The guy could just use sunscreen and get some skincare with astaxanthin in it like Skyn Iceland, Rovectin or Dieux.
😂 I might be more inclined to listen to that dude if he wasn’t wearing that Halloween store wig😂
Bad toupee nonphysician says what?
😂😂😂
I might listen to him if he possessed valid knowledge about sun damage. He doesn’t, I would never trust his logic.
I do wish this guy knew the difference between damage prevention, damage control, damage and repair.
Exactly
Its hard to take a guy serious. Wearing a party city wig
tiktok Looksmaxxers are a menace to dermatology ngl 💀

Freedom of speech lets people like her respond. You never know who’s gonna have a platform first, free speech is necessary
@@user-kj2zi9ui1g True. But her responding with facts isn’t going to reach the audience of the original person. Very unfortunate for those people
GET UM ..ALL.. DR. DRAY😊😊😊
Dudes gonna be a leather lizard!
Absolutely! He is very ignorant.
He’ll figure it out in 20 years or less😜

But, uh, he looks like he is currently sunburnt…
Yeah! – he is preparing his skin for the summer!! 🌞😄🙈
Gee, he’s an expert?🌷🌺
He’s well on his way to looking like a old saddle. In 20 years he’ll be able to skip the moisturizer and go straight to using leather cream.
Antioxidants are also abundantly found in animal foods.
I just got a vision of you explaining away myths like these in your appointments with patients and I immediately felt exasperation FOR you! 😂
Dude is slowly starting to resemble a leather couch, so I’m gonna have to pass on his advice.
