Great timing Dr Dray! This video speaks to me. Summer heat and humidity make me very oily and closed-comedone prone. The struggle is real!
What have helped: eat whole foods, up my bentonite clay mask to 3-4x/wk, Benzoyl Peroxide wash and Adapalene gel, lightweight gel moisturizer and SPF. (strange…I haven’t been able to tolerate SA cleanser around my nasal folds and mouth area).

You talk a lot about common allergens, cross-reactions, etc., but could you explain what contact allergies are (like, what is going on in the skin?), what cross-reactions are, whether contact allergies are ever connected to food allergies or seasonal allergies, etc.? It sounds like some ingredients are “sensitizing”—could you explain what that means and whether/how it relates to contact allergies?
