Finally! Someone said it. The urgency created to buy these products is overbearing
Common sense wins again! Thank you!🎉
I don’t even dry my face. I just let it air dry naturally.
I don’t dry my face either, I just continue on with my skin care. Helps with my dry skin
What about the drips?
@Nahwait 3 minutes and when your face is damp and not drippy then use moisturiser
I put my skin care on my wet skin. I never dry my face . Plus I change my hand towels every day!
I’m on team “don’t dry my face” because by the time I walk over to my room, I’m ready for skincare
It’s so hard to care about the environment, yet buy all the things social media tells us we can’t do without.
Yes totally agreed! I stopped using disposable wipes years ago. The cost adds up quickly, they’re irritating, and it creates so much garbage, it’s just not enviro-friendly. As long as you’re regularly washing and disinfecting your towels, and storing them properly, you’re good👍
These are not the same
I just think they want us to spend more money.
Thanks Dr. Dray for keeping your beauty on a budget.
It is consumerism at it’s best. Not even to mention that most of those people are probably sponsored.
Unrelated, but I went to the dermatologist for the first time ever yesterday (I’m 29) and I never would have gone to address my skin issues with a professional had it not been for this channel. Grateful to have found a professional of color who has expertise in diagnosing skin conditions in people with my Fitzpatrick skin type. Thanks for helping me break some generational curses ❤️
I went to a derm after watching Dr Dray, I was referred to a lovely lady whom sorted out my skin issues really quickly, spent time educating and gave me a routine to follow using an affordable pharmacy brand. Her advise has always been in line with what Dr Dray reached here.
I agree those disposable towels and makeup wipes are really a waste of money. I bought these reusable cotton rounds from Etsy, I use these to remove my eye makeup they are very soft, especially on sensitive skin. I have several wash cloths that I use to dry my face. Thank you Dr. Dray for sharing this video. Take care everyone 🌹
I’m going to have to look for those reusable cotton rounds. Thank you for bringing them to my attention! 🙏🏻
@Pink Rose You’re welcome, I hope you will like them too 🙂
It’s 2023 and they’re pushing single use products? Shipped from the other side of the planet? Fascinating.
I agree with you!
Or sad
Yeah, as we are literally drowning in single use plastic waste, and the seas are rising, along with the temperatures. People are wild.
My thoughts exactly 🙄
I had not heard of this trend before this video. It is infuriating. Creating more waste to dispose of in landfills, when there is a perfectly good alternative that has been used basically up until now, is inexcusable. I don’t care if it’s supposedly degrades, how long is that going to take? Not to mention the complete and utter waste of money.
It’s just not the waste, but production and shipping too. Cheap for the customer, but…
Dr. Dray, I have been following your recommendations for the last 5 years and my skin is amazing! I remember the first time I heard you say apply moisturizer when your skin is wet; I thought, I must try this. Well, that’s what I do each time I step out of the shower! Skin is soft, supple, and smooth!!
Thank you so much for this!! I almost fell down that rabbit hole last month, then felt like I at least needed enough new face cloths to be able to use a clean one every day 🤦🏻♀️ It’s not just on TikTok, either, lots of influencers promote this idea
Thanks to Dr Dray my skin is so much better than it was several years ago even tho I’m obviously several years older… no make-up wipes, no 20 step skincare morning and night routines. Just sunscreen in AM, gentle cleanser, tretnoin and moisturiser PM
Thank you for this! I never believed the claims. However, I do have to admit that I buy these when I travel abroad. Cloth washcloths are not commonly found in hotels or Airbnb rentals in some countries due to hygiene reasons. I bring disposables like the ones mentioned here.
Well as usual, I’m out of the loop again. I didn’t even know disposable face towels existed. Doesn’t appear I’m missing much. Big no for me. Thanks, as always, Dr Dray, for letting me know about things I would otherwise be completely blind to. Happy Friday!! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a wonderful weekend! 💞
Great Advice Dr Dray! Thank you for all the informative information. I buy the cheap washcloths at Target or Walmart and use a clean one every time I wash my face. Wash in hot water twice a week. When they start looking ragged I use as cleaning cloths. I change my pillow cases twice a week. Sheets once a week. My skin looks great at age 71.
Hi Dr. Dray!! I know you get plenty of requests to try different skincare lines. I’d love to see you review the Beekman 1802 line. I remember you mentioning the midnight milk from the line. I enjoy watching your videos daily:)
I wish I could ‘love’ your videos instead of ‘like’ them. Everyday there is some new random product appearing on shelves telling us how we have been doing something wrongly all along. The market just constantly uses fear tactics to manipulate us. Thank you for not being a greedy, toxic influencer. You are just the best, period! ❤
Some of the best advice you have given me is to apply moisturizer directly to a wet face, thus eliminating the need to dry your face with a towel all together.
