  1. If only it were as easy & cheap to treat the things she claims a cucumber can fix, amiright? 🥹

  2. I do sometimes put cold cucumber slices on my eyelids when my allergies make my eyes puffy.

    1. Yes! I do that, too. It’s mostly the cold that will depuff your eyes, and it feels SO good! I wouldn’t put “frozen” anything on my bare skin, though. Frostbite is real.

  3. I remember my mum saying that cucumber juice cuts down oil production and hence reduces acne, and she used to make me apply cucumber juice on my face

Idk if it helped, but putting something on my face and waiting while not being able to do anything (because can’t wear glasses and I’m veeerry nearsighted!) while the juice sat on my face for 15-20 min, it felt absolutely nerve-wracking; needless to say I never pursued the thing on my own.

Later I discovered otc bpo cream, which I much preferred over sitting still with juice on my face

I did not fine cucumber juice on its own helpful with my comedonal acne

but lemon juice (not on its own, it’s a few drops added to cucumber juice or potato juice or whatever my mum had me put on my face) did, it helped clean my pores, I would literally see the mixture colour change and become dark and cloudy from gunk (probably my water-resistant sunscreen that I didn’t know needed double cleansing 🙄), and I’d also see a reduction in the visibility of my sebaceous filaments

This was a long time ago and I do not subscribe to the diy way of life anymore 😅
