Oh good grief! TCA peels are a no-no for those of us with melanin in our skin. It can cause post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which we do not want!

This is kind of a horrible representation of a chemical peel. I have beyond sensitive skin so I was so scared to try this. I decided to pull the trigger when my acne got out of control. When you first get a chemical peel they will do the weakest peel possible and if you have sensitive skin(like me). They would never do this strong of a peel unless you have done this before or if you asked for it. I personally peeled for 4 days but it was nothing close to what happened to them! You also wont see dramatic results unless you do this over a period of time on a regular schedule. Like most skin care things it takes time to let it work.

@Luke J. / Nexus those guys dont know what they are talking about this kind of aggressive peeling make this sort of reaction it s the inflammatory response of the skin, and it will take weeks to get better, for god sake respect yourselves and your skin you re not a snake

I would believe as I have done peels and lasers. Skin is shedding by chemicals it’s not shedding on its own naturally. The skin will remain pinkish for a bit.
Pigmentation is a issue . Be sure you wear a sunscreen no excuse during the day even not in sun at all. Protect from any day light
i would fire this esthetician if she worked for me. you must prepare the skin for this kind of peel and that takes weeks. the lady with pigmentation should have been put on a tyrosinase inhibitor prior to this peel to avoid post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, which is the brown spots you see after the peel. the other lady didn’t look like she had a reason to have this peel and without a reason to peel, you should not do a peel. ugh. people do your research or you will cause more problems for your skin.
As a Licensed Aesthetician, I thought the esthetician was wiping too hard and abrasively. This peel seems to be one step down from a Jessners. I agree you cannot do this peel often. A side affect of too many peels can lead to more hyperpigmentation.

This was most likely discussed off-camera. Knowing Susan, she was most likely prepared and on a tyrosinase inhibitor. She is no novice to professional skin treatments.
I could not help but notice that after you both had “frosting of the skin” *which is visible blistering of the skin & she still went over those areas again and again with the peeling solution. I was saying, nooooooo and wincing as she did this to you both. Also, I have never seen the peel done over the eyelids! That is such a soft area and thin skin area. She should have protected the sensitive areas of around the nostrils and corners of your lips by applying Aquaphor or Vaseline or any type of barrier. You both may want to try other peels at other places.
Absolutely never over eye lids
I think the bit over the eyelids was just the solution that STOPS the peel (neutralizing solution) just in case any creeps into the eye area

This is because they had skin prodcuts such as foundation concealer, blush, highlighter, everything that girls wear when getting ready.
I did a chemical peel a week ago And my skin is peeling a little by little but not like you guys but somehow I can see the changes, my acne spot are also fading away😍😍
Beautybytenzin it may have not been the same,chemical peels don’t actually always make your skin peel, such as glycolic lactic or salicylic but something like a jessners peel can!!!!

With their skin i would reccomend getting a 20 – 30 % afa peel and starting off by prepping the skin for a couple weeks with the afa cleansers bc it contains a very low dose of the active ingredients kinda like a lactic acid face wash
This video made me, a medical esthetician, cringe. And i see the comments of other fellow esthaticians and theyre right. This is a horrible representation.
This is why I can’t get major peels. I have no self restraint. I would literally pick at it.

The esthetician only mentioned Glutathione but the peel contains both TCA and Phenol, which are super hardcore acids. I found her very misleading. It’s also not ethical to not disclose the percentage of the acid used.
I’ve actually had this chemical peel before and it did wonders for my skin! I initially had 3 peels 6 weeks apart and it evened out my skin tone plus cleared up my acne! That was about 4years ago!
