Watch This Before Using Hair Removal Creams ⚠️Dermatology Tips

⚠️ I’ve been seeing more chemical burns from hair removal creams, both in my dermatology office and all over social media ! If you’re using these creams, here’s how to avoid burns and irritation:
1️⃣ Always patch test – Test on a small area of skin before full application.2️⃣ Follow the instructions – Don’t exceed the recommended time (even if it doesn’t feel ‘done’).3️⃣ Avoid sensitive areas – Stay away from broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.4️⃣ Moisturize afterward – Soothe your skin with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.5️⃣ If it stings, stop – Tingling or burning means your skin is reacting – rinse it off immediately.
⚠️Avoid if you have sensitive, eczema prone skin – the ingredients in depilatory creams can irritate and weaken your skin barrier.

    1. I mean, every skin is different
I can’t shave my face because it gets so irritated so cream it is. I use it only on my chin and on the side of my face close to the neck tho

  1. People just need to stay away from beauty products and just do the natural stuff. So you can do like tweezing and threading you can do legs threading face threading it’s a lot safer. Stay away from waxing and stay away from chemicals. I know this is going to be a lot harder for people to understand but we have body hair for a reason to protect us. We have been conditioned to hate how God made our body naturally. Because how your hair grows and how and where it grows shows you that you actually have certain problems that you can fix. So like if you have a lot of facial hair as a woman that means you have high cortisol. And there are other medical stuff that does show that if you have hair growing in certain areas and the growth has changed actually means something important.

  2. Also DON’T go out in the sun right after you use it! Obviously sunscreen helps but I still got an insane follicle burn

  3. Never again. Last time I used those types of product it caused contact dermatitis. Looked like stretchmarks. Hated what it did to my skin. Just horrible.

  4. Burned myself with Veet back in the early 2000s– never tried it, again. It wasn’t as bad as the people of above– there was no indication that harm was being done until after it was rinsed and my skin had dried.

If I’m not mistaken, you’re not supposed to soak before use and I used it following a warm bath. I learned the hard way. 😬
