Melasma wheree?!?! Your skin is looking better than ever!! 😻😻
Thank you for trying this products for us and for this great informations! A dermatologist can actually formulate if is a chemist or a chemical engineer . To get into med school applicants need to have a bachelor or more. Many applicants are already chemical engineers or chemists
Ugh I’ve been trying to hunt down that damn sunscreen for months. I have never seen it in stores. Hopefully some of you have had better luck.
I use makeup wipes as a first cleanse when I travel. Way more convenient than packing my first cleanse oils (yikes if they busted, melted or spilled). I take wipes along with my second cleanse wash in my bags. I’m glad you noted that the beauty industry, over all, isn’t environmentally friendly. It’s not. It’s as bad as fast fashion.
I started traveling with cleansing oil gel by Krave beauty. It’s in a tube and doesn’t leak. I found my skin was so much happier using this than makeup wipes. Banila also makes Clean It Zero balms for every skin type. I like these for travel too because they’re solid and the cap is secure. 😊
I love the Rose water facial toner and I’ve tried different ones but I’ve always just stuck to the rose water.💗
I am glad you covered these. I walk down the aisle and think about it and then just don’t do it HAHA
I had 1 week without water, water main break, and lived off makeup (cetaphil) wipes and baby/feminine wipes. They are a necessity sometimes! Also I live in a small town so a hotel wasn’t an option. Basically I camped at my own house!
literally just had the same thing happen to me. totally a necessity sometimes.
@howcouture it’s terrible but makes you realize how much we depend on. Took showers basically old time style with a bowl of water and a towel. Also went 1 week without power that summer. Love the midwest, cold breaks things underground and tornados knock out lines and trees!
The retinol and the moisturizer have worked well for me – I’ve been using them for a few weeks. I recently began using retinol serums again – so this was a nice starter to use. I will probably go with a stronger one after acclimating. The moisturizer, however, I will likely buy again. I enjoy using it as my nighttime moisturizer – I like the way it feels once applied. I don’t find it to be mattifying – I dislike matte since I have dry skin.
I live outside the US so I work with what I have and retinol at 0.3% it’s the max permitted in Brazil. However that’s already enough (for now) almost a whole year for me to start using every night lol the other day I was cleansing my skin with oil cleanser and my old skin started peeling off 😂 quite bizarre. And the irritation is completely out at this point just one year of consistency I might go prescription
I love Trader Joe’s skincare! The antioxidant face cream has been a staple for me for years and I have oily skin
The nourish line comes from a dermatologist in Oregon I believe… it’s a dupe for his own products he has in his office. I work for Trader Joe’s and had a customer in Oregon tell me this was from her derm.
When I was in high school, I was so lost with my skincare routine. I thought buying Desert Essence would help my breakouts. Boy was I wrong. It screwed up my skin way more than what it was. Dried the heck out of my skin.
Came here to say literally the same thing! I loved the smell and I thought tea tree would be good for acne. It was so drying and made everything worse. 😫
I did love the smell though hahaha I would totally still use it as a body wash!!!
@Veronica Camara Oh my gosh same girl!!😂 Loved the smell but not even joking, I got huge pimples when using it. I have really dry/sensitive/eczema/acne prone skin. I’ve tried so many hydrating cleansers and the only one that my skin seems to really like is the Neutrogena Skin Balancing Milky Cleanser for dry skin! My skin doesn’t really seem to like the hydrating cleansers from La-Roche Posay, CeraVe, Aveeno, or Cetaphil. Such a bummer how difficult my skin can be🤦🏻♀️ It’s so weird too because the cleanser I use now has fragrance but doesn’t irritate me at all compared to the other ones which would sometimes burn or sting my face🙁
I love the marula oil! It’s no dupe for drunk elephant but the experience was comparable to summer Friday oil texture. I’m on my second bottle already
I know she gave all the disclaimers about the order of the products, but I love the chaos of this review because I so relate. Whenever I buy new products and I sit down to try them out, idgaf about the order. I’m slapping on serums after moisturizer, there’s retinol on my cheeks and sunscreen on my forehead, some cleansing balm remnants on my chin. I love it. Haha
I’m a hug TJ fan but: I wasn’t impressed by the eye cream, love the sunblock dupe, think the hyaluronic acid is ok and really enjoy the pumpkin enzyme mask.
The TJ Spa cleanser literally ruined my skin, it damaged my barrier so bad. It was my go to 10 years ago. Thank God we know better now thanks to you Susan ❤
Would love for you to review Good Molecules products but I loved this Trader Joe’s video!
I don’t think this was condescending at all! Although the title is definitely misleading, this was a wonderful first impressions video and totally satisfied my curiosity about the Trader Joe’s skincare like that I’ve had for a while. I was never aware about white-labeling and “benchmarks” until I watched this. Thank you Susan!
It’s just the way she came off 🤷🏽♀️ like almost annoyed that she had to do this, well don’t do it then and make a video to explain why. It actually came off as snobby not really condescending. But she should realize that her audience is from all different socio economic backgrounds and some cannot afford some of the things that she usually recommends. And it felt as though she was making fun of the people who can’t. I know she wasn’t but it was what she sounded like. If you are going to be an influencer don’t alienate half of your viewers jmho 🤷🏽♀️. I still love her though lol 😊
@sarah zabala
💯 agree and found video annoying. 🙄
That hydrating gel moisturizer is a lot of people’s holy grail. I’ve never tried it because TJ is out of the way for me (I would have to get onto a different highway on the way home, and I don’t care enough to do that lol), but it’s on my list of skincare to pick up if I ever end up at a TJ again.
Hey, Oil of Olay was my go-to moisturizer for nearly two decades! Man, it never made me break out and left me hydrated all the live long day.
I don’t think someone who owns their own skincare line, and who is competitive in the field, can give an honest, unbiased, review of another skincare line.
