Was waiting for this vlog! So excited for you. Safe travels. Happy Saturday Dr Dray and Peeps 🥳😍🥰
Happy Saturday
Hi Reed!
👱♀️❤
Just got back from NYC, it was my first time there and I must say it did not disappoint. Flew into LGA and noticed all the stores and decor you highlighted in your last NYC vlog.
It is a fun place to visit
@Dr Dray Can you please review: “Gold Bond Diabetics’ Dry Skin Relief Lotion”?
Yep. I figured you were jet-setting, travelin’ the world, endin’ up in NYC, again. What a wonderful video, Sis. You really brought us along in perspective and showed us such a strong woman striding safely, with intention, in a city that never sleeps. Of course, and obviously, YouTube wants your perspective and intelligence as they go and grow forward in this day and age. Thanks for taking us along for the ride, seriously. See you tomorrow. with more of these interests and fun, sharing your light and more of your trip, that is pretty fantastic. Stay safe in your day, Dr. Dray. 😎
The rise in crime in NYC has me very worried for her 😩
Too much crime and the Governed doesn’t care. She needs to be voted out.
L’Occitane is pretty well established in Europe. They are French and have been bought by L’Oreal some 10 years ago. They make soaps, shampoos and scented skincare :) I love the shower gels, especially the Verbena one. It’s upper priced, feel good stuff with supposedly ethically sourced ingredients.
Yeah verbena is the best, i believe Dr Dray uses this one !
I find their shower gels are very drying.
@S. Maj. For sure, I find a lot of shower gels to be drying on my sensitive skin! But I enjoy the scent, so I use it sparsely for quick showers. Have you found one that smells divine but doesn’t dry the skin?
verbena is my favorite too. i bought it as a bar soap (just for the hands). they also have a nail treatment (nail oil) that i can recommend. however, their products are more luxury than actually good for the skin – still it looks and smells amazing. makes for a great gift too (unless someone has sensitive skin..)
Enjoy yourself! It is the least I can wish for you, as a thank you for all the wonderful content you have provided. My skin is so much better off, and dermatology is now on my list of possible specialties, thanks to you!
I’m not much of a commenter but I got so excited to see that you are in my home city!! You’ve been such a help to me curating my skin care over the years, so this just brings me such a sense of joy 😊
I love those True Lemon/True Lime products. I order a big thing of them from their website. I carry them in my purse as well. They have a really good one that is an “Infusion” of Lemon and Mint. It’s very spa-ish and I think to put it in my water at night .
L’Occitane is great. I stayed at a nicer hotel once that stocked their products, versus the generic hotel stuff, etc., and they were lovely to use. I remember they had some lemon scented shampoo that smelled divine. Unfortunately, their prices are fairly steep. I think a small bottle of shampoo is over $20.
Oh how much I LOVE New York! I was just at the Harry Potter store and Chelsea Market a month ago! I am hoping to move there within the next two years and absolutely love nyc vlogs!
Hi, I see you’re having fun traveling again, thanks for taking us with you! Be careful & stay safe!🥰
Love the weekend travel vlogs. The “old timey radio” is actually a very expensive Bluetooth speaker. They’re meant to look retro but they’re a modern, popular brand.
Hey Dr Dray!! Thanks for recommending the La Roche Pose foaming cleanser dupe from CVS. It’s amazing and the price!! Super happy 😊
as a product manager (not at Google) it sounds like this was a really fun event. I’d love to be a fly on a wall to see how they run feedback events like this. (every software company does them differently.)
Yum, I just discovered lassi and it’s so good! Keemat grocers sell fresh lassi and I really liked the rose flavored one. Loccitane has some pretty nice items but they’re heavily fragranced so not worth it because I have eczema so I have to be careful lol Oh, I remember the bean boozled game, I played with my nephews and it was hilarious 😂 Fun vlog, you’re making me want to go visit NYC!
Ok, I had to look up halva. I might try making that for Thanksgiving. Thanks for taking us to NYC again and talking about the event. 💜
L’Occitane has great products-very sensorial! I work for them. They are not owned by L’Oreal, but they themselves own Erborian, Elemis, Duolab, Limelife, Sol de Janiero, and Grown Alchemist. They also partner with women’s cooperatives, local growers, etc and are focusing on sustainability as well. Great stuff!
Who else really wants Dr.Dray to start her own skin care brand?! It would be my holy grail. 😍
I was thinking the same thing. I would buy the whole line and only use her products.
It is probably already in the works, ya’ll….starting with a sunscreen like no other sunscreen, with no harsh cast and a complementary tint that everyone can wear…..just think of the possibilities. She sure does know her stuff and she researches immensely and certainly tests all manner of products available currently…..and she keeps up with it all. It would be relieving and a comfort to have faith in a product and to know that it is of high quality in all ways and a brand that one could trust. And imagine the makeup she would produce that would never be harsh for those with sensitive skin. And if she could keep the price moderate and competitive, she would be the new face of beauty, as well, and we all would be too, in our own ways, using her superior and superb product line….lol. I wish her the best, regardless, because she swags to the beat of her own drum, ya know, and that is rare in these plastic days we live in. She should call it Dr. Dray Approved…lol 👍
@The Backroads, too the truth is that most makeup and skin care cannot be formulated “perfectly”. this is simply the reality of chemistry. so Dr. Dray can only talk about properties of a product and recommend it to xyz person but that doesn’t mean her knowledge as a derm will somehow produce the perfect makeup/skin care. it simply doesn’t work like that. it takes research and whole teams of cosmetic chemists. and unfortunately, there is basically no way to formulate perfect makeup/skin care (a lot of complicated interactions with each substance that goes into the product etc.)
I don’t think it’s in her personality to come up with her own skincare line, she isn’t that vain, lol.. Perhaps a collab with Cerave, Eucerin or amazing drugstore brands might be a better idea.. 😍
@neptune I know…in a perfect world, right? Hence my use of the word imagine…..I wanted to use the term, “a girl can dream”, but I didn’t want to sound offensive….lol…since nowadays, all makes and models use the stuff to look better for a world so plastic. I mostly inferred that it appears that the Doc comes from an honest place and does so in a very relatable way….when one imagines an outcome, just as most do when choosing the products that one uses to better themselves and their presentation, we can naively see it in ways that are not so practical, as you pointed out. Thank you for your down to earth information and the reality of such things that are so foreign to many, and it’s people like you and the Doc that bring us back to the reality of the beauty biz. Have a great day and thanks for the info.
Welcome to NYC! I used to live in the West Village many years ago (before it became outrageously expensive). You’re just in time for the NYC Marathon. Enjoy your visit!
So happy for the recognition that YouTube is showing you! You deserve it!! Thanks for taking us along on all of your adventures. I’ve never been to New York. Looks like so many things to see and do but I think this old country gal would be completely out of her element. Lol! Happy Saturday, Dr Dray!! Hope you had a wonderful time. 💟
Hi Mary!
👱♀️❤
