Happy Friday! I am also a big fan of Vaseline or its cousin, CeraVe Healing Ointment. I use it on cuts and scrapes, under my eyes, around my fingernails and on the heels of my feet. Great historical video yesterday!
So good!
@Dr Dray 😊
Greetings Theresa Berg hope u r well n Happy Friday😀👍💜….
@Whitney Brown Hi Whitney! Happy Friday to you too!
Dr. Dray: Just wanted to let you know. You turned me on to Skin Aqua sunscreen, but I’ve heard you say that you wish it came in a larger size. There is. The Skin Aqua Moisture Gel (white bottle) comes in a pump 240ml! ❤️
I love it! Thanks for sharing
where do you buy it? and does it burn your eyes?
@juliait does not! I love it along with the gold version.
It’s not the same sunscreen though. The milk is the one that comes in the small blue bottle, and the gold one is a different formula.
I get it in a 3-pack from StyleVana on sale for about $7.50 per bottle with discounts. It has max UVA/UVB protection as it is made in Japan so has ingredients like Tinasorb S that is a powerful UVA blocker. Everything stings my eyes, but this much less so. It is an elegant formulation…not too shiny and not too dry/matte. Just right.
I am so glad that you address the biotin issue…I noticed it in many multi vitamin daily and I stopped taking it a few weeks before I had blood testing done. Also, you have saved me a lot of money, because I look at the ingredients on everything now and know what not to get. Thank you. 😊 Have a great weekend.
I stop taking it a week before my thyroid blood test.
@Ingrid how do it affect your thyroid test before?
@kim harrison my TSH was 2.5 for > 30 yrs on levothyroxine then it shot up to >7. I was sleeping 10-12hrs, had dizziness and tired all the time, that’s when my blood work was tested. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s .Increased levothyroxine and it went too low. I have another TSH after a dose change, coming up to make sure it’s normal. I won’t know how stopping biotin a week before had an affect until this blood test.
The only store that stocked the Cerave oil to foam cleanser was Ulta near me and they kept it in the back! I got it two days ago and really enjoy it!
Thanks for mentioning Urea! Since starting tret, I use a basic moisturiser with glycerin and Urea in it plus I add in some squalane oil. Urea is truly fantastic as a moisturiser ❤
A moisturizer with Urea truly changed the texture of my skin.
Is it OK to use AmLactin on your face?
@M M it has a high percent of lactic acid, so I wouldn’t use it on the face
What moisturizer would you recommend with urea?
I use the Eucerin 5% Urea Smoothing Face Cream, Hydrating Moisturizer for Dry Skin, Dye-Free, Adult
Thank you Dr Dray for another informative video. My skin care regime is simple – I’ve been using the Neutrogena Ultra gentle creamy fragrance cleanser and the Hydro Boost cleansing gel for years 🥰 My moisturizer & tinted sunscreen are fragrance free too. So many affordable skin care and cosmetics at the drugstore. Take care everyone 🏖
Your recommendation for salicylic acid body wash/mists for tv has CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR ME! I didn’t have success w the dandruff shampoos, but the salicylic acid has cleared my skin after 4 years
Tv?
Thank you Dr Dray for another informative video. I didn’t see any differences on hair growth while taking Biotin. Interestingly I was found to have hypothyroidism which contributes on the hair loss 😅
I love how you’re wearing bright colors! So perfect for the summer, and you look lovely in Orange. That lipstick color also really suits you. Have a wonderful day!
Glad to know it’s okay to use the shampoo as body wash after I buy something that I decide I don’t like as a shampoo. Especially dranduff.
I truly adore these “Shop With Me” videos, Doc….Happy Friday!! 😃
Dr. Dray, could you do a video on fabrics and how they effect skin? There’s a theory that certain skin fabrics (ie: polyester) can harm your skin or internally, and I’m curious to hear your take on it! You may have possibly posted a similar video before. Love your videos, appreciate hearing your knowledge on all these skin and health related topics 🫶
I really these videos, Dr. Dray. Please keep doing them!❤
I use a epilator for my hair removal. I don’t have to worry about chemicals or constantly buying stuff, works great but it does hurt on some areas
I love that you mentioned Dr. Eddie’s Happy Cappy medicated shampoo! It’s one of my favorites.
Drug store skin care…yes ma’am. I’m here for it! Ever since I found your channel years ago, you have saved me so much money and frustration too. Not to mention how much I’ve learned from you. You’re awesome, Dr Dray! Thank you so much. Happy Friday!! Hope you, your sweet and little Tybee have a beautiful weekend. 💞
The spray sunscreen is great for keeping in your golf bag for touch ups, or for someone in your group, that you see getting a little red.
I have the European version of CeraVe’s oil cleanser (bought on Care To Beauty) and I only purchased it within the past 5 weeks so I guess it was finally released to the US Market as it’s now available on Amazon and the packaging has changed (the European version isn’t all in English). Good to know!
Sent this to my 12 year-old niece. She is very interested in skincare and wants to be a dermatologist!
I really appreciated the information on biotin. I don’t take it or use it but many of my friends and co workers do. I will be sending this video to them it’s crazy how many people don’t realize that supplements can interfere with prescriptions they take or medical tests that are ordered! 👏🏼
