  1. Not to mention there are some ingredients you don’t want to use together like vitamin c and retinol and they could damage their skin barrier

  2. Sitting at Tarjay parking lot and across is a Tanning Salon, I see young men & ladies going in – coming out. Alot schools start here tomorw so maybe they need a tan? To me thats just wild to pay these tanning salons $$$ to fry and damage your skin on purpose. :0

  3. People my age and younger are too obsessed with the online version of keeping up with the joneses. I hope they can all come to the same realizations I eventually had!

  4. Well, guess they’re not as smart as they think they are.😊 AND they’ve never seen folks that worked out in the field all their lives.

  5. The skin routines online make no sense all those skin products are going to aggravate if anything because of how concentrated, fragranced, and just the piles of how many products they’re putting on. Less is better the core elements moisturizer sunscreen retinol/tretinoin maybe a chemical exfoliant that’s all you need beyond that people r tricking themselves into thinking a special mushroom is going to be more effective if anything the companies r just pandering to people searching for aesthetic packaging and experience rather than actual effective products.

  6. Totally, I’ve never seen a makeup tutorial that starts with sunscreen. I’d love to see one that uses mineral sunscreen; to me that’s hard to make look ā€œrightā€ with makeup.

    1. So true. I use Josie Maran Moisturizer Mineral SPF 47 underneath my makeup. My brother is a makeup artist and hates the fact I use that as a moisturizer before I apply makeup.

    2. I think I’ve finally figured it out. Lots of powder on top then pounce it in wih a dry makeup sponge. Then proceed with concealer and or color corrrector and whatever else you like to use. Works for me.

    3. Sophdoeslife is a YouTuber who always uses sunscreen :) Idk if mineral or chemical, but you could check her out if you wanted to :) Most of the times she specifies which sunscreen she uses :)

    4. Most of the beauty youtubers I watch mention what skin care they have applied earlier before starting the video, and sunscreen is (should be šŸ˜‰) the last step of the skin care routine, so that make sense to me, since you wanna give your sunscreen time to sink in before primer or any other makeup product.

  7. I have finally gotten my sister, who just turned 18, to start wearing sunscreen when she leaves the house. And she’s been doing it consistently when she’s getting ready to leave the house.
I was worried she wouldn’t understand the importance of it until recently, when she told me she had noticed some acne hyperpigmentation fading away. And while I’m sure she still thinks it’s an extra step, the fact that it’s been making a difference aesthetically reassures me she’ll probably keep it up until she understands how important it is.
For now, she has a face wash, a light moisturiser and a good SPF50 sunscreen. And I feel it’s really all she needs at her age.

  8. I’ve been asked by teenagers if they should use hyaluronic acid or retinol without even needing it nor even worrying about SPF.

  9. I’m 21 and I’ve been wearing sunscreen since 19 yo. Trying to be as consistent as possible, also avoiding the sun ā˜€ļø I also started putting on Vaseline every night. Makes my skin so soft 🄰

  10. I was DoorDashing a few weeks ago and these white girls with INTENSE tans came into a Whataburger. These girls were all in their early 20s but I could see visible sunspots and they were browner than me and I am an indigenous man. I wear sunscreen everyday I leave the house and it just saddens me that these girls are really at risk for the big C.

  11. As a Gen Z, I can confirm many of the people I know never try and protect against the sun, and think I am crazy when I do.

  12. You have educated me so much on dermatology that now I will not leave the house without my face, neck, hands and arms covered with sunscreen. I wish I knew you 20 years ago!ā¤

  13. While protectibg your skin is very important, and that will lead to less aging, it’s really sad how phobic people are of aging, especially in women. There is a lot if sexism wrapped up in there and I think we should know better by now

  14. My daughter loved tanning. She stopped when I got skin cancer and had a melanoma removed from my face.
