I am definitely very much about alcohol and fragrance free. But I ignore the non-comedogenic. Everyone has such different skin and different triggers plus comedogenic ratings are done based off testing done using rabbit ears which is the best we have but not ideal. I really stress learning your own acne triggers.
Mira Parker I avoid comedogenic products they actually break me out
@Dijle same..
The Ordinary is just as cheap if not cheaper than drug store products and they have great products! You can get their products from Sephora!
We dont have sephore in our country ugh
It’s only online
Its expensive in my country like 20-22$
You can get SOME TO products from SOME Sephora’s
It depends on where you are
You lost me at the neutrogena cleanser. That cleanser really dried out my skin. I have an incredibly oily skin but that cleanser dried my skin out so much I could feel the tightness of my skin immediately after use. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It is way too strong in my opinion.
OML YESSS
The one with Salicylic Acid is so good. I use it three times a week, and it clears up little small bumps.
@MaryJane80 me too
Literally stopped watching after she said neutrogena cleanser
Same I really like and also use most of their products, but their cleanser and facial wash is honestly bad for oily skin,it completely changed it into dry skin and that’s just from 2 uses so have been using products for dry skin instead of oily skin now, obviously that didn’t make me give up my other products from neutrogena.
Please review The Ordinary skincare line!!! Would love to see that
Alejandra Gonzalez check out Dr. Davin Lim’s review on The Ordinary. He’s an Australian dermatologist.
Ginny Bloomer that might be true but if someone trusts Susan they’re gonna want Susan’s opinion on a product.
I really like their Hyaluronic acid! It’s not like.. life-changing or anything. But it’s cheap and I do notice that it helps to make my skin a little more hydrated. You have to be careful tho bc if you rub your face too much (putting on moisturizer, facial oil, etc.) after you put it in it will pill up and peal. So just press it in and be minimal when putting on moisturizer
she has reviewed TO but didn’t try the products and mainly just reviewed the company which wasn’t really helpful. i’m really enjoying TO rn though my skin is livingggg
She has done it..
My husband is listening to me watch this video and says…What the heck is “winecellar” water? 😂😂😂😂😂
Catherine Duran Umm…
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He misunderstood her LOL
HAHAHAH
@Lizbit Smith karen take a chill pill
I have been using the Ponds cleansing balm to remove my make-up and I really like it. I want to try out the CeraVe lotion, and I totally agree Aquaphor is a must have with kids.
The Pond’s cleansing balm is amazing!!! LRP has really great products as well. I’ve been using them for almost a full year and I can’t say anything bad about them. 🙂
Just a note, Hawaii isn’t banning certain sunscreen ingredients because they’re unsafe for humans. The ban is because there has been a LITTLE (underscore little) research that these ingredients maybe be harmful to coral reefs. The research is relatively recent and more research needs to be done to confirm the results. Please be more careful with your words when talking about a lifesaving product like sunscreen.
Rachel Cox I agree 👏🏻
Hi Everyone! Reading the comments, I’m realizing a lot of people think I’m only recommending the products in this video. I was instead trying to give you an idea of the types of products I look for at the drugstore and show examples. Hopefully that helps!
Micellar water isn’t good for me, but Burt’s Bees cleansing oil is. Also the Cerave moisturizing cream is my daily facial moisturizer, very very good. You don’t need something fancy for moisturizer. But my focus is on a good sunscreen and facial essence.
Edit: btw why would you suggest avoiding those sunscreen ingredients when they make up all American chemical sunscreens? Are you suggesting not using chemical sunscreens then? How would darker skin tones cope with just using physical sunscreens that leave whitecasts 95% of the case?
The Cerave Hydrating Micellar Water is amazing as second cleanser (avoid the eyes because it stings) and also as hydrating toner!
It really looks like you just bought all of these products right before shooting the video haha but overall I love this! You should post more about affordable skincare! <3
*CeraVe Healing Ointment over Aquaphor! It has the Eczema Organization stamp of approval.* I use it for everything from wind-burned cheeks to chapped lips to dry cuticles. 😊
Am thank you for this helpful comment. Cause I was wondering which is better 😃
Yas yas yas
I agree!
i unfortunately can’t get the ointment in france idk why :-( but eucerin aquaphor is available here in pharmacies it saved my dry lips
As a professional aesthetician in Toronto for over a decade, I agree with alot of the feedback she gave on some afordable products. But the reason why serums are so important is because they have a lower molecular level, with high concentration of peptides and antioxidants which help to stimulate collagen as well elastin in the skin. Moitrurizers and water based products sit just on the top layer of the skin. Fact: after the age of 25 we stop producing collagen and every year we lose 1% of the collagen in our skin 😉
Glow By Ive 😢😢
We’re so happy to hear that you love our Thermal Spring Water & Cicaplast Baume B5!!! <3
Emma Holmes Not all brands that sell in China test on animals. I buy The ordinary in China, for some reason they are allowed to have an online store there.
Jennyfer Milena Galvez must be a technicality of some kind
Jennyfer Milena Galvez I don’t know much about this but maybe there are different rules of you sell it in stores in China vs regular online purchases
because your products are really great. I mean, lipikar and cicaplast is life-saving for me.
I frickin love the cicaplast baume i bought like 6 of it I just love always use it helped my skin alott
i recommend you guys NOT use the grapefruit cleanser, do a patch test first, that stuff broke out and irritated the hell out of my skin.
edit: also i changed up my cleanser recently which i shouldn’t have done, and started using the Clean and Clear Lemon Zesty Cleanser. my skin started doing pretty good for the first few days, but then my skin started breaking out and getting super dry. i’ve been drinking plenty of water and my diet is the exact same, so i know it doesn’t have to do with me. if you have extremely dry skin and want no dry patches i suggest the Nutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, Ponds Dry Skin Cream in the blue cap tub, and Witch Hazel after all that! such life savers!!!
Shooketh samee
OMG YOUR PROBABLY NOT GONNA READ THIS BUT I HAD DRY PATCHES AND I USED THE CLEANSER CREAM AFTER READING THIS TYSMMM MY SKIN IS BETTER
You should try the vanicream cleanser it’s only $10
Sounds like the citrus hit you hard. Avoid that stuff in facial products. No bueno
clean and clear’s morning burst cleanser ruined my skin.. my skin broke out crazily and started getting flaky too. I changed to simple micellar gel face wash and it literally saved my skin. Neutrogena hydro boost gel moisturizer is another product that was great for my skin. I highly recommend anyone to not use any clean and clear face wash unless you have extremely oily skin.
P.s. I have combination and sensitive skin
I loved that you listed what to avoid in sunscreen and literally all those ingredients were in the sunscreen I’ve been using on my face 😭and it made want to find better sunscreen for my skin 😊
TIP: when using a cleanser with an active ingredient (like salysilic acid) you want to massage it into the skin for at least one minute so that the active ingredient can do it’s job.
@Bai Queenie Lauban probably yes, because I imagine the percentage is pretty low as is typical in drugstore cleansers, I’m not a professional though so make sure to listen to your skin.
@isabel yayyy thanks! i’m about to use this cleanser every day then to niacinamide serum at night. do you think its okay?
@Bai Queenie Lauban I’d say it’s probably fine, there are a few ingredients you don’t want to use with niacinamide and you can find lists on Google of those.
isabel good to know. Thank you
@Indy Behr no but she got that advise form one !! 🙄🤣🤣🤣

REPENT AND FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST BEFORE ITS TOO LATE
Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; [20] but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Super helpful and informative ❤️ I just picked up the CERA Ve moisturizing cream myself because one of my friends said it would work on my sensitive skin so I’m really happy to see it on Mixed Makeup too 😊 in Canada, we have lots of Avene and La Roche Posay and other French brands at the drugstore luckily so if you’ve picked some up somewhere else It would be really nice for us Canadians to see your review of those too ☺️
