  1. I hear that all the time from people who do hot yoga or new age sweat lodge enthusiasts that they’re “sweating out the toxins”

  2. Idk, back in the day if I had too much tequila to the point of oblivion, I swear I could smell tequila coming out of my pores the the next day lmao.

    1. @Joyce C Nothing to be sorry about. Alcohol does come thru the pores, I think. I’m not a doctor, though.

  3. I use water enemas, coffee enemas, herbal enemas and essential oil suppositories, yoga and pilates for detoxing, fitness, health, wellness, disease, illness, sickness, pain, weight loss and beautiful clear glowing healthy younger looking skin just to name a few since 1995 when I was 13 years old.

  4. We have two ‘sweating’ franchises that have opened here in the past 3 months. They have all these claims and detoxifying is one of them. Ugh.

  5. This brings me a sense of relief as I have a condition that I don’t sweat. It’s nice to know my body is still ridding itself of toxins

    1. this might sound insensitive, but I’m kind of jealous 😅 I sweat way too much and it causes so many breakouts and issues for me

    1. Saunas have been used for generations though. Long before an industry existed, cultures around the world have used sweating.

  6. As a pharmacist it makes me giggle hard imagining if a provider needs help dosing medications per sweat metabolism and excretions (insert liver and kidneys in order) ……. Ok next… 😂😂😂

  7. That’s why I use benzoyl peroxide instead of aluminum because i don’t want to overheat too much. Odorless sweat is good enough for me

  8. So this lady is going off theoretical data and she is very much incorrect. Just like if you are dehydrated and you sweat a lot you WILL actually sweat out your pee. Your pee is filtered from kidneys thus pee having toxins thus skin releasing pee(toxins).
Some doctors and skin care specialists treat the information from the body as if the body is functioning theoretically perfect. Which is a lot of times not the case which is why people have health issues. If the body was always functioning the way it’s supposed to no one would ever have a health issue ever.
    She is simply wrong sorry.

  9. I really don’t sweat at least through my armpits anymore, so this is good to know. Have a great day! 😅

  10. Yas, the only thing sweating does for me in the sauna is cause electrolyte imbalances. Lol I have to ensure I’m intaking a lot of electrolytes (coconut water, bananas, sweet potato, cream of tarter). The benefits from the sauna come from heat shock proteins and the strengthening of your cardiovascular system over time.
