My fav lip SPF is the Jack Black lip balm. Makes lips look moist (but not too glossy), and no overpowering taste or smell.

Jack Black is also my favorite in the original mint – I don’t like the other flavors. I go through 4 or 5 a year and I’ve tried dozens of lip balms! Wish it had a higher spf but I just reapply often.

Black girl sunscreen just came out with a clear gloss, no fragrance spf 50 it’s so good! My only gripe with spf lip products is i tend to get some in my mouth and the taste is just weird. It may be just how i apply 😌
Same thing happens to me with the Black Girl Sunscreen clear gloss , eventually I’ll get this weird taste in the back of my mouth but I still like it

I have the Aquaphor Lip SPF on auto delivery because it gretaly improves the appearnce of dry lips, as well as providing sun protection. It’s a habit I continued after using it during my accutane days decades ago.

I wasn’t crazy about the Cotz flavor and tint on my lips but I’ve been using it under and around the side of my eyes (dry skin) and it’s working very nicely there.
Summer is the perfect time for drinking hibiscus tea. I find it so refreshing and the fact that it has all these good antioxidants is a bonus!

I just bought one today and it was on sale for less than $5 at Sprouts! I didn’t even know it existed. Ive been a fan of their tinted non SPF lip balm for a long time 😊

Perfect timing Dr D! I was going to order the Vanicream next week cuz I remember you recommending it a while back. I will now check out one of these new recommendations. I have used the Chapstick SPF for years, but really never know how good it actually is.
Sadly, the Vanicream one has been discontinued.
The best SPF lip balm I’ve tried is the Panama Jack broad spectrum SPF 45 lip balm. No one on youtube talks about this but it’s so good. It’s pretty moisturizing, but what I love about it is that it’s smooth and not bitter. I’ve found that a lot of SPF lip balms leave a very bitter taste in the back of my mouth a few minutes after applying and this one doesn’t. It’s also easy to find on amazon
Panama Jack- yes! Don’t like the Aquaphor or the Up and Up at all. Too goopy feeling, doesn’t stay on and bad taste. I like Hawaiian Tropic too.
Agreed, this is my favorite! I wish they had a flavor free version but it’s the only chemical lip spf that doesn’t leave me with a weird taste
I am using Aquaphor lip protectant + sunscreen spf 30 . It is in a tube like the Vannie cream one was . Repairs and protects . Love it ! 💗
I love the Aquaphor lip sunscreen in a TUBE (squeeze out). It feels just like Aquophor or Cereve healing ointment on the lips. Very hydrating and lightweight.
I thought I wouldn’t find a replacement for Vanicream’s discontinued lip sunscreen (still sad about it) but I’m glad I gave the Sun Bum mineral lip balm a try. It leaves minimal white cast on me but feels moisturizing; I really like it.

I’ve been liking the Blistex SPF 30 lip balm. It does have a slightly sweet taste, that doesn’t bother me, and prefer a little flavor to mask any chemical taste. I won’t be ordering anything online that will melt in transit for a while, since I live in NV. All stocked up for the summer. ☺️
