  1. Hi Dr. Alexis, I am considering getting the perfect derma chemical peel for hyperpigmentation and anti aging. I am about a half a shade lighter than you. I am going to the Cleveland Clinic and the aesthetician said that once she puts it on, I leave it on for 8 hours instead of 24 hours. In your chemical peel video you stated that medium depth peels are safe for melanated skin. Just want to double check that I’m making a safe decision. Any suggestions you have would be great!

    1. The perfect derma peel is a great peel. Some patients require skin preparation first. Depending on skin type, tone and sensitivity which is best determined during consultation. I would ask if the provider thinks you would benefit from skin prep with topical pigment inhibitors first. Hope this helps and wishing you a very successful peel🥰

    2. @Dr Alexis Stephens thank you so much for the insight! I will be sure to ask the provider. You’re the best 🥺❤️💕

    Using products from The Ordinary.

    Thanks.

  5. Thanks this video is right on time. Can you do a video explaining the difference in the early stages of eczema and psoriasis. My 6yr old has small rashes that comes and goes in the same spot for over 2 years, on the backs of her arms and legs. They flare up and go away but they leave discolored skin and comes right back in almost the same pattern. Her pediatrician says its too early to know the difference but prescribed her Fluticasone Propionate.

  6. Hi Dr Stephens, I have been in debt to you since following your channel. My skin has a very lovely glow as of now ✨️ I owe it all to your brilliance in skin care. Thanks,Victor from Atlanta ❤

  7. THIS WAS GREAT AND RIGHT ON TIME DR. STEPHENS. I just started with this so called Eczema in my early 60s and still have not found a good dermatologist who knows how to treat it correctly. I have placed an order for the cream and serum you mentioned in the video and have already implemented most of your suggestions, which are definitely on point, especially the patting. I also notice when I use cold or ice water, it helps a lot. A P.A. I visited did prescribe a good steroid ointment which you have to be careful because it will thin out your skin. I use it very sparingly and only when the symptoms gets too unbearable. I also find that using the CeraVe Ointment helps a lot and when I scratch too hard which creates blisters or cuts, my good old Neosporin helps. Thank you for taking the time to provide all the helpful tips.

  8. I’m so glad you did this video. I’m in tbe midst of a flare up right now. I’ve been prescribed 3 different creams & 2 allergy medications & to try to get it under control but nothing is working. This video is right on time.
