I’m allergic to coconut in most lip balms. It fizzes my lips up immediately if there’s enough of it. So I use Vaseline lip therapy little tubes that last a long time.
We have used PJ for lips forever in the hospitals I’ve worked in. In Nursing school, they said don’t use it with 02 due to the risk of fire. I think this was from the days of patients smoking. Yes 30 years ago we allowed them to smoke.
A lot of people reacted negatively to their lip products including myself and ALL of my family members that used these lip balms. When there’s an outbreak of that nature, it’s clear that there is a faulty product.
I didn’t like the EOS lip balms because they tended to go rancid very quickly. I’ve never had such a problem with any other brand. I’m not sure what they were putting in there that would go rancid that quickly, but I wonder if that’s at the heart of the issue with so many reports of irritation from their lip balms.
You can really tell the age of these baby influencers when they think nobody’s heard of these EOS lip balms 🤣 They were all the rage in the early beauty guru days around 2011/12, for their cute sphere shape.
Thank you for clarifying this 🙏❤️
That’s good to know. I was one of the people who eventually reacted to their lip balm. I now mostly use plain Vaseline for my lips.
Omg my lips never liked those !! I use to think i was allergic to them

I personally never found these to be very hydrating/moisturizing.
They also ALWAYS rolled off my desk onto the floor in school. Very annoying. 😂
same! My lips used to be so dry after using them I thought it was me
agreed, I had many of them, eventually came to the realization that they are not that great and a blistex was much better
One of the waxiest, worst lip balms I’ve tried😂
Me too I avoid EOS at all costs not moisturizing and didn’t last long on my lips.
They did’nt feel good. It was like rubbing a paraffin candle on your lips.
I never tried it, but that’s a good description of how it looks
Vaseline brand has a squeeze tube for lips. That’s what I use, only when nessary.
Is it just straight Vaseline?
@@thatsfunny2051no it has yellow coloring for some reason 😢

Did they stop making these altogether? I remember them being really waxy. The eos squeeze tube balms are pretty nice though.

i remember girls in elementary school would have 5 of these laid out in a row on their desks
I had one, and it irritated my lips and face too. I didn’t know it was the EOS at the time, and I didn’t know all the drama that was going on with it.

They also just spoiled really quickly and smelled like rancid oil at that point

It’s still the only EOS product I know of.
I had perioral dermatitis several times before I realized it was this lip balm that was causing it.
MOLD MOLD MOLD
I heard that they had a terrible preservative system
I remember how popular they were
The EOS lip balms were the only lip balms in my life that caused me to have a painful rash around my lips. Literally the only lip balm.
