I once had a girl tell me she didn’t want to wear sunscreen because it had “chemicals” in an extremely condescending tone. Brittney, you do fentanyl. Sunscreen “chemicals” should not be where you draw the line
Two of my grandparents were from Mexico, and my dad had very dark skin all year round, so tanning for me took like maybe 4 hours and I was good for months. My mom was very pale and burned easily, so we grew up just worried about burns. We never thought of tans as skin injuries. Good to know now. Thank god I stopped tanning in my early 20s. Still suck at sunscreen though.
Best thing I ever did for my skin was BREAK UP with the Tanning Bed 4-ever!!! I’m 50 now, and while I do sometimes miss having that golden skin, nothing compares to protecting and loving my skin now.
I think people look better in their natural skin tone. I’m darker toned naturally but it looks different opposed to those who aren’t naturally darker. I don’t know why that “golden glow” aka yellow skin looks good to some people lol. It looks filthy when a pale person tans imo. So clear it’s unnatural.
The secret to the BEST tan this summer: Literally fry yourself🤣 Tanning oil scares me so much because it does seem like that’s what you’re doing. Frying yourself like a nice crisp potato chip.
But also, although I don’t tan, I actually did not know that tanning was a “wounding response,” thank you Dr. Dray for bringing this to my attention!!! (O__O)
Was diagnosed with Melanoma in situ last September, got that cut out. Huge scar. They just found another one just next to that scar, another surgery scheduled. On my right shoulder blade where I could’ve missed sunscreen. Or I could be predisposed to skin cancers. These are no joke. Thanks again for your expertise and content Dr.Dray! 😊
I haven’t tanned in over 30 years! Sunscreen and Subscribe!
I’m 63 yr old and never ever had a tan in my life, factor 50. – 100 every day of the yr thank you
One of my biggest regrets in life now as a post menopausal woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your biggest regret is pretty small. Surely there is something bigger than tanning.
@matthewdancz9152 she said one of. always some smartie pants that was never told to shut up as a child 😐
How does tanning feel good to ppl. The hot a$$ sun feels uncomfortable and burning 😭😭
Indeed
I like being warm. I may be part reptile
Same. I’ve never understood it.
I was wondering is there some kind of chemical in the Nieva that gets you high😂
@@camcat26you are not 😒

Oh my gosh, no no no that is scary
I use to tan back in day w baby oil and do the whole sun-in-spray hair lightener stuff. 😅Now, I avoid the sun, wear hats and use sunscreen😊🎉
Natural selection
If they breed, it isn’t natural selection.
I gave up tanning beds in 2014. No regrets
Just go under the sun in a low UV index
Tanning is so 80s. Life ain’t an episode of Baywatch.
Sun makes people age like Milk. I am 23, I study. There are people my age in my classes that have lines around the eyes.
Seriously, people who still tan in the sun are as delulu as people who still smoke.
Tanning is free, smoking will cost you the price of a car.
Could you please make more content about tanning “compromising the vit D producing machinery “?
Get very detailed on the how too. I want biomechanical explainations that show how.
Such great advice… that’s all you can do is to advise. Appreciate your channel💛
I don’t get tanning at all and never have.
