Tell me about it and it was so ridiculous to divide restaurants up into the smoking and non-smoking section. For me I could look in the window of the restaurant across the street and see someone smoking and smell it. My eyes would immediately begin to drain and I would start sneezing! I swear that smoke was coming out of that restaurant and all the way across the street to up my nostrils!
We had a restaurant in my home town that was “divided” but there was nothing in between the two sides. The smoke would just fill up the entire room anyway lol what was the point? The 90s were different haha
Iam a 70s baby, so yep smoking was everywhere, grocery store + walmart b4 it was a super store. Both my parents & grandparents smoked in house. We didnt have a choice🙄😵its just how was back then🚬🚬
It’s actually insanely common for middle school and high school students to vape, smoke cigarettes, or even smoke blunts. A lot of Gen z kids are also around adults that smoke around them. I love your videos but I had to mention this because I have experience that contradicts your statement.
Not to mention the mental stress most of you all have to deal with from adult crap in your faces everyday (I’m 60 by the way). When I was young adults kept drama to themselves mostly. Adulthood comes too quickly as it is.
She’s specifically stating that smoking indoors was legal in most states until the mid 2000s and it was out of your control. Nothing to do with personal affairs of family or friends or personal choices.
When my mom was having babies she’d be breastfeeding in the hospital while the person in the next bed was smoking. When we went out to dinner we always got asked “smoking or non smoking section?” We’d choose non but we were only separated by thin plexiglass 😂😢😮😑😐🫣😡
I agree. I was exposed to smoke in the home as a child & when I went to work the break room was like walking into a cloud so no escape. I was so relieved when smoke free laws happened & I could be free of that toxic & stinky smoke at work & restaurants.
Dr. Dray, Air Pollution was so bad in the 1960s in Southern California where we lived that a single day of air intake was the equivalent of 3 packs of cigarettes a day when I was 7 to 17 years of age. We lived in a very exclusive neighborhood in Seal Beach, California after moving down from Los Gatos in January 1959. In Seal Beach we heard the Fog Horns all the time, yet we could see only one half mile. We only knew the San Bernardino Mountains existed maybe 4 times a year right after it rained. To top that off there was tons of Lead in gasoline, and no pollution controls on cars, so the soil in and around peoples homes were highly contaminated with Lead, a deadly poison. So yes it is better, but the chemicals in soft plastics is still reeking havoc on everyones hormones and DNA.
I don’t know how you do it, but every time these shorts pop up on my phone and I play it…I am literally laughing my a$$ off 🤣. You are funny beyond words! Have a great night 🌙
This is exactly what i think these days that I’m lucky to be at least in my 20s when there’s so much awareness about sunscreen n anti ageing in general
I was happy to be an outsider or “freak” because I didn’t take up smoking, or get a tan. I was also thinking of running away with the circus to be the tattoo-less woman. 👱♀️❤
I remember learning about smoking as a child. they taught us to tell the smoker to not smoke near us children. I did say it once to my uncle 😂 the worst amount of smoking I was near was when I vacayed in Miami: I was in a hostel filled with Europeans & smoking is so normal there. It’s like morning coffee. My poor lungs. Almost my entire family has asthma so luckily no one smokes besides that uncle. And I did get an upper respiratory infection as a result of my hostel stay. 😩
And don’t forget those of us that are even older and grew up in a time before sunscreen.

I was born in 1961 and my parents smoked then I became a smoker 😣 my skin shows it. But I did quit several months ago
That’s great! Congratulations!

Don’t really have it easier when everyone around you smokes including in a car with all the windows rolled up or in a house with nothing open
my mom literally smokes IN THE HOUSE, in a room with no windows. i hate it so much
Im really over reckless smokers who dont make an effort to not be an inconvenience to the people around them.

Same with just general access to prescription based products. I destroyed my skin with neutrogena and proactive back in the day
When I was a kid I used to always pray my dad would choose the nonsmoking section

I got the eucerin gel cream today and I really like it !! ❤
For the face?
@Cathy InColorado I literally put it everywhere. I would say for my face it could be more moisturizing. But when I say literally I mean literally
Oh my gosh, I never even thought about the effects on my skin from back then and all the smoking other people did around me., Airplane flights!

Both my parents have strong anti-aging genetics and I still look the same as my 9 year old self..I just got older …btw I’m 20 lmao
Well, it depends where you live. Here in Romania the law that says you can’t smoke in CLOSED public spaces, was applied only about 5 years ago

Contact lenses weren’t as ‘breathable’ in those days either. So I just went without. I didn’t drive back then.
