I have melasma… I used sauna at gym a few times and swore it wade made it darker but I thought how could that be since there was no sunlight? Thank you for the explanation!
I thought it was just UV radiation that can trigger it, but I had NO idea heat could do this. Is there a certain temperate limit we should avoid to prevent melasma from coming about or getting worse? Like 80 degrees, 90 degrees?
Probably not great if you have Rosacea either, right? 😉
True. ☑️
Is it same for steam baths?
u talk like the dermatologist version of Kirsten Stewart
I love saunas and steam baths..especially when I lived in Seattle 😏
Any hot weather tips for those of us that don’t sweat and get melasma easily?
I’ve never been in a Sauna or hot tub, I don’t like the steam or hot water for that matter.

My beloved hot yoga also 😭 but I need it in my life so I guess melasma it is for me 🙏
