    1. Why are you allergic? I never used sunscreen for lips just coconut oil or shea butter which has low spf

    2. sun bum makes tinted mineral lip sunscreens, they look more like lipstick on me, but they do have a variety of options. they feel really nice. my other mineral lippy is made by a company that closed down :( and has a terrible cast, but sooo effective for hiking and outdoor recreation. I can use chemical but really like to have both, wish there were better mineral options.

  1. I also couldn’t get past the taste with this one 😅. Using the Jack Black intense therapy right now but always open to cheaper options

  2. Try Blistex Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Lip Balm. Glides on nice, and has a sweet taste, but not overly sweet.

  3. Can someone please answer this! I’ve been using panoxyl for a week now, only once a day at night because I wanted to see how my skin would react. Combined with my routine of cleansing moisturizing, the rest of my skin feels amazing but for some reason the skin around my eyes is getting really dry and almost sandpaper like, and I don’t know why. And it’s spreading. It started 4 days ago under my eyebrows and my eyelids and now that I wakeup, it’s on those areas plus on my under eye.

    1. If that is the only new thing you’ve been using since that skin reaction I would stop using it. Only use a mild cleanser and moisturizer (no strong actives) for a few days.
Once it feels better you can try the panoxyl again but really take time to let your skin get used to it. Use it once a week, then increase the use slowly with time; or decrease the use of you are getting irritated again!
Panoxyl is a really good product but pretty strong if you have the 10% benzoyl peroxide. I know there’s others like the cerave acne wash that only has 4% so maybe trying a lower percentage may help and then work your way up if you want to :)

    2. daily use right away sounds intense. my son uses it 3x a week with good results. I use 10% Benz perox on my armpits 3x a week, that’s the most I can tolerate. it will probably clear right up when you stop, and the first advice is good. restart once your skin heals, but go slowly. it never works to try and push skin results faster, ultimately you’ll be happy you slowed down, you want to figure out the right balance for your skin, not just get more product on. increasing application can cause the irritation you describe, and it can actually slow down your good results. patience will pay off!

  4. The stiffness is a plus for me, I can pat it on top of lippies that don’t normally play well with a balm over them. also, is lip SPF a necessity? I use it every day, but it’s not a common topic on here. does opaque lipstick block out the sun ? I notice that even influencers who are religious about SPF don’t always use lip sunscreen.

    1. I will say, I rarely get true chapping or dryness on my lips, even in this desert of a climate, so spfing them daily is probably a good thing…
