My mother is 80 and she’s been using Noxzema and baby oil (she would add baby oil into her palm and mix it up) at least since the 1960’s and she’s never had any issues. She still uses it to this day and her skin is very soft with minimal lines and wrinkles. Genetics may play a part but I’m sure her skin care is a factor, too. So, I wouldn’t totally discard Noxzema. I don’t use it anymore but it’s still an oldie, but goodie for a lot of people (and not just old people…lol). š
I use it to remove sunscreen on my body and sometimes for my face. On my face I’ll follow up with a little cera ve cream to foam cleanser. I’ve used noxema since the 1970’s and never had a problem.
I used to LOVE Noxema! Loved that tingly cooling sensation. āļø It’s not the same as the original when they changed the formulation up many many years ago. It was so good. Not sure if my skin would tolerate it now. It brings back so many good memories tho. š
Speaking as a child of the 80ās, my mom used Noxzema and her skin was perfect. I tried following her skin routine for a few years until I realized that Noxzema dried the hell out of my skin. Just another example of what is good for one person, doesnāt necessarily work for another.
Iām 57 and I used it throughout my adolescence and well into my 20ās. I thought I was using the same skincare as all of the supermodels because I saw it in so many magazines. š Sometimes I just want to buy it, though.
Noxzema makes salicylic acid cleansing pads that were one of the few OTC products that did wonders for my acne. They were really harsh and had a strong cooling effect which I know isnāt a good thing for your skin barrierā¦. but they worked incredibly well at clearing up my acne in my teens.
I actually love it and it works very well for my acne-prone skin which has cleared up. I use it 1-2 times a week. Love that tingly feeling it leaves on my clean skin ā¤
I have used Noxema forever. I used it all the time when I was a teen. then went back to using it as an adult. I love the stuff and I’ve been using it practically all my life and I have good skin. it leaves your skin soft and moisturized and non greasy. you can use it as a mask too. I like the minty feeling too. I have good skin and I highly recommend it.
Interesting how Noxema, which I used as a teen, has stood the test of time, decade after decade after decade, while products that I absolutely loved even back then were discontinued. Oh well.
I remember my mom covered us in Noxzema when we got sunburned. Not soothing at all. This was her way to remind us that everything to do with sun exposure was bad. She who could sit by the pool for 5 minutes and come away with a gorgeous tan; she never burned so she had no idea what kind of torture she was giving out.
I došāāļø I have used Noxema all of my life. I have tried so many different skin care systems. Only Noxema cleared my rosacea and adult acne. It is amazing for sunburn (back when we burnedš„ŗ). You have helped me so much and I appreciate your dedication š.
As a child of the 70ās, I remember Noxzema being the first ācleanserā I ever used on my faceš! I wouldnāt even think of putting it on my face now, the fragrance alone is enough to scare my skin away from it! Thank goodness skincare has come so much farther in the past few decadesšš¼
I like Noxzema in the summertime. When itās 115 outside itās the most refreshing wash. It cuts through perspiration and sunscreen, and it makes my face silky soft. I started using it as a teenagerā¦in the 80s.
Me!! I started a little under a year ago. I had these pimples, acne, welts pop up only on my right cheek, it was red! Sometimes a little painful. Nothing worked. NOXZEMA was the one to stop that! I’m using the one with purple band with moisturizing. Leaves my skin soft and not dry! I love it

I remember the first time I tried Noxema to help with my acne while I was in middle school. It broke me out so bad š©š©š©
Used it twice. I have beautiful skin, this broke me out both times. Love the smell, but keep it away from me!

Yeah that must be why I donāt like it anymore. It seems to leave a film now, or the last time I tried it which was like 5-6 years ago.
My grandmother was using Noxzema back in the fifties. I think she used it for any problem on her skin. She swore by it.
We always used it on our sunburns growing up. The smell is super nostalgic.
Us too
We did too!
Ive used this religiously day and night for years!! My skin is baby smooth and ive never had pimple/acne problems ā¤

I put this on my sunburns back in the day. The cooling sensation felt so good on my hot broiled skin

Noxzema always broke out my skin when I tried it as a teenager. I now prefer Cerave Or other cleansers that are gentle for dry skin.
