  1. Dr. Dray, I so appreciate you and the wide variety of topics you cover. Since our eyes are the window to our soul, our skin is our window to our health.

  2. I had twins and a C-section. And because of that I have the belly apron. It’s been 8 years and I still struggle with yeast and sweat underneath. My dermatologist has me use zeasorb to help. I wish insurance would cover skin removal because it’s a daily struggle 😢😢

    1. When I weighed 300lbs, I’ve had the same hanging belly, with red and white spots underneath. It was fungus and bacterial infection. So doctor gave me ketoconazol and bactroban ointment. I used them intermittently 2x daily for 2 months and it was all gone.

  3. Only took about 40 years to create this condition in this country and I am a witness to it. All the issues from it tied to the source cause which is what is being consumed. 👍🏻

  4. I’m incredibly glad that you bring up these skin conditions. Not enough education is available for people regarding diabetes and having it go unchecked. I just have seen too many friends that don’t understand how deadly and dangerous this disease can be. Pre-diabetes shouldn’t be ignored either. There was a time when people equated healthy eating with eating lots of pasta or just home cooking. Anyway, I think this video is well done and extremely helpful.

  5. Doctor Andrea today’s video made me think about my late mother she suffered from obesity and her legs her extremely swollen and she had lymphedema and she wore compression stockings and also she was taking daflon 500mg three tablets per day for better circulation. But she didn’t escape cellulitis and ooh Man that’s one nasty bacterial infection she took ciproxin and dalacin for quite a while and her skin had broken down we used hy sil cream and wrapping with sterile gauzes and at the end manage to flight off the infection 😊. Also she had that lipodermatosclerosis in her lower legs that deep purple i don’t know how to describe it your picture are the exact same as my mother’s. I struggled but failed to reverse her leg’s appearance 😢. God rest her soul 🙏❤. Thank you so much Doctor Andrea ☺️.

  6. I consider myself very fortunate to have never had to deal with being overweight. I’ve had family members and several friends that struggle with being overweight. My late husband was also overweight. He dealt with a few of these skin issues. Thanks for speaking about this. I know many people will find it helpful. Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a fantastic weekend! 💟

  7. I wear a lot of necklaces and get tiny skin tags where my necklaces lie. Not obese. If my chain is a small link, it can remove the skin tag. Ouch!!

  8. This was a good topic to address. Its true that there is not enough information out there about obesity skin issues.I’m mildly obese, and as I get older I’m seeing more of these skin issues. I haven’t always been obese, and now that I am I can tell you it brings a whole new set of medical/ health challenges to the table. Doctors need to be very upfront and honest with their patients about what obesity does to the body.
