I have one of those giant lamps w/ the French looking couples + large silk lampshade w/ the fringe! It was given to me by the parents of my godparents when they passed away. My mom said it was purchased in Chicago prior to 1963. I have never seen another one anywhere else until this video.
My husband and I love the Antique Mall in Spring! It was fun to walk through it with you. And I really love your new hair length — very flattering.
Antiques warm up your space so well. They give off a vibe of substantial-ness and character especially if you have unremarkable architecture. I once rented a newly constructed modern apartment that had a great location but was a plain box of a space. Furnished with antique wooden pieces and white upholstered seating, it was one of my favorite places I have lived!

This antique store reminds me of when I went to dinner at a neighbor’s house once. Young couple with young kids like my husband and me. Their entire home was furnished with antiques. Dining room, living room, bedrooms. As beautiful as the pieces were, all together and so many was just total overkill. Oddly made it feel as if someone died in her house.
