Enjoy Part 1 of my review of the products in The Ordinary from Deceim! I decided to break up the review so it’s not too long but stay tuned for Part 2 because, there’s some interesting stuff there! I would also like to keep updating the reviews as I collect more of their new releases. This video focuses on the liquid applications that I’ve been using. I love products that engage my skincare geekiness, so this is for all of you fellow geeks that are ingredient conscious or want to be!

I’m so excited about this review, because this is a brand that is really easy accessible for me. I bought their rose hip seed oil like 2 weeks ago and it has been doing wonderful things to my skin! So that really made me wonder if the rest of their products are just as wonderful
Thank you for this video!! I just wanted to say, I used curology to clear my horrible cystic acne, and the active ingredient was Niacinimide! I think that the zinc and niacinimide could really help anyone struggling with acne
you’ve changed my skincare world Renee, thank you, very elegant and informative. and i’ve never been a fan of youtube until now! cannot wait for your next review on the ordinary, esp vitamin c because i’ve been hesitant on purchasing the drunk e.
Means the world to me, Lacy. Thank you so much!
My favorite so far is the Buffet!!! Thanks for another thorough breakdown of products Renee! And oh my, your skin is just so RADIANT!! <3
@Gothamista loved ur review.. I ordered TO Niacinamide 10%❤️. Small doubt that 🤔 if I use HA 2% and Niacinamide 10% Do I still have to use a separate moisturizer for hydration. I AM A COMBO ACNE PRONE SKIN PLZ REPLY 😍
I heard it made some people’s skin flake and dry out. Did that happen?
Bill Corben I can’t use it. It gave me a a rash and open sores. Not for sensitive skin.
@Gothamista What comes first? The alpha arbutin or the niacinamide?
@DebD Me too, unfortunately.
You are the Bill Nye of skincare 🙌 Thank you for giving it time, for a real review.
Woah…You make me feel cool! 😘 Thank you, Reiko!
When I heard *another* Deceim brand was getting all of the hype I thought ‘I’m not even thinking about buying any of it until I hear what Gothamista has to say’. I trust your reviews so much and I love that you really know what you’re talking about. Looking forward to Part 2!
Good to know that the HadaLabo one is still more cost-effective, I loved it…
The Niacinamide 10%+Zinc is something I am using for the over all anti inflammatory / anti pigmentation ..Matrixyl has been on my wish list for weeks.
I LOVE how I just made a huge order and it was still under $50! Thank you so much for introducing this line!
Oh, I know! I have backups of products and it still costs less than an american drugstore item!
Thank you for this! I am in love with this whole line. I am obsessed with their vitamin c suspension and the caffeine for my eye area!
Renee, you are simultaneously my skin goddess and science teacher. Your delivery is easy to understand, relatable and so pleasant to watch (skin geeks, woohoo!) How is it that you can convince me to make so many exciting skincare purchases this week? Love you! xx
I feel like I’m listening to both my favorite Chemistry teacher and my crazy gorgeous girl friend! Thank you for your reviews, Renee. 💕
hearing it you tried it for 4 months before giving a review…that just deserves respect and subscription!!!
can’t wait to discover more of your video!
Great video Renee! You are a skincare goddess 🙌🏼 I ordered the Matrixyl based on your recommendation and I love it. I really enjoy the texture. It’s almost gel like, and kind of cooling. I’m using it under my eyes and the results are amazing. Thank you for doing the research on this line and giving us such thorough and helpful info. So many YT’rs did immediate reviews without testing for the necessary amount of time. You are great 😍
Wow. I was already blown away by the thought and education that went into this video and just as I was thinking “I wonder how the HA compares to my Hada Labo…” you literally cut to a direct comparison. It’s like a choir of angels started singing and I rushed to hit the subscribe button
I reached out to Deciem on Facebook to ask why products were ”Rolling on my skin”. I was applying Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% then Hyaluronic Acid + B5 but they say I would say the opposite so Hyaluronic Acid + B5 then Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% . Since then, it absorbs quicker and not rolling on the skin !
foo8lover start with a more watery textured serum then work ur way up to a thicker textured serum.
HA then Niacinamide.
Cynthia D that was my first mistake too until I switches it the other way around
Do you have dry skin?
i have both and i was scared to use both products but now ig i will
Oh my goodness I love the chemistry that goes into all this. Def gonna be in a lab one day making/testing this stuff when I’m older!!😍😍😍
The channel where you come when you want a reliable, scientifically detailed, easy to understand reviews of products!
For those who want to skip to a specific product:

Thank you!
Thank you
Thanks <3
Awesome…
Thank you
I love the ordinary! I’ve been using the niacinamide for about 2 months now and my skin is so clear! Of course results depend on your skin type but it worked really well on my teen breakouts. Ps. I have normal typed skin.
Started an Ordinary routine early January along with Retin A. So far, my skin is the softest it has ever been. I am 60 and live in Florida, hence a lot of skin exposure. I have faithfully used sunscreen on a daily basis since January too. Love these products!
