Hi everyone! Not relevant to this topic, but update re. the 6% salicylic acid, I purchased OTC from chemist/drugstore in the babycare aisle. It is marketed for the scalp condition cradlecap. I used it on my nose, chin and feet without irritation. There was no peeling on my face, or feet after one application. When I took off my socks, the skin on my feet was noticeably softer. I will reapply it to my feet this evening. So far, so good. Very economical too.

Have a good rest of the day! 😀
Hi Nada B. Hope you’re having a lovely day.
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for another great video, Dr. Dray! Watching your videos are one of the highlights of my day! Have a happy Wednesday, everyone! 💗
Happy Wednesday
🖐🤗
My 17 yr old son had an allergic reaction when he was around 2 ( swollen red puffy skin and rash, thankfully that was it.) He had eaten pizza with pineapple the night before, so we made sure that he stayed away from it. Pretty sure he grew out of that food allergy, but he developed ezema around this time. To this day dog hair that’s short and bristley can make him break out in hives. Tons of great info in this video. Wishing everyone good health and a lovely Wednesday 🌞🙏🌼
I had chronic hives a decade and I got them everywhere wasn’t fun! Try walking around with feet swollen like balloons! 🎈 Feet felt like they were on fire!🔥Could never specifically determine exactly the cause but my autonomic nervous system being out of balance was a huge player! Balancing nervous system one of biggest eye openers my whole life! Don’t sweat like I used to more comfortable at higher temp than I used to be. Great topic today! ☕️💪🏻
They can really be debilitating
Hi Uncle Charlie! Happy Wednesday!! That sounds absolutely miserable. I’m glad you’ve been able to figure out how to alleviate them. Peace, joy and blessings, friend. 🙏🕊☕
As a kid I was told I was allergic to foods like eggs, cheese and tomatoes. All of which I eat to this day. I do sometimes get a little dry/ashy spot and I do use OTC cortisone cream to the area until it clears, usually in a couple days. I am allergic to fresh fish (not canned or processed like in fast food fish sandwiches) but I am fine with shellfish. I found this out after eating salmon one night and having my throat nearly close-up. The next day, my doctor sent me to the allergy clinic for a test which confirmed this. I also get the occasional reaction to, I believe red wine, probably due to chemicals added when making it.
Greetings d b hope u r well n Happy Wednesday😀👍💜….
Thanks for this Dr Dray. One thing I have heard about is the fact that allergies can shift over time. Milder reactions can become anaphylactic and allergies can arise out of new exposure and experiences. These are notable and perhaps life saving symptoms ❤
After my second child, I started getting what I though was acne around my mouth. Over time, my throat was always sore, and I started having trouble breathing after some meals. I was shocked when I got an allergy test and was allergic to almost everything I eat. I did an elimination diet and found out I needed to stop eating peanuts, tree nuts, almost all grains, a lot of different fresh fruits and vegetables and eggs. My new diet makes me sad, but I am finally feeling relief from all of those symptoms.
The only bonus, if I want some big Kardashian lips, all I have to do is eat a carrot or some guacamole. 👍😂
@Iron Fist No, went to college there.
@Hillary nice. Was it University of Utah? Or Utah State?
@Iron Fist BYU
@Hillary how was it all four years?
@Iron Fist It was good. Compared to other schools it is more difficult with a more rigorous schedule (no fall or spring breaks, the grading is shifted so you need a higher score to get an A, each class is worth fewer credits than it would he at other schools). Met a lot of great people, got married, and I have extended family there, so it was fun to connect with them a little more.
As far as the weather, it’s terrible. 6 months of snow every year. When it warms up, there are a lot of amazing hikes, but the winter is too much.
Hi doctor, what about a video on the difference versus freckles and age spots? And when to be alarmed? Might be a timely topic as we approach this summer
Food allergies are such a bummer. Our two year old was allergic to milk, eggs, and oats and it took too long to figure it out. Thank you to our allergist for confirmation. He was miserable from age 1 month to 15 months until we figured out all 3 components. The eczema was also tricky to work through – we still have hard days. Thankfully we’ve worked through eggs and milk but he still has major issues with oats.
Our 4 year old is allergies to artichokes but those are not that hard to avoid 😜

A family member (they’re a healthcare professional) has been having problems with histamine tolerance, and has been very sensitive. They have persistent rashes and itching. They did note symptoms related to this did occur later in life, and markedly after the onset of menopause.
“This is something that you can’t diagnose yourself.”
Lol, in my experience, it’s something that my doctors can’t diagnose either. My chronic urticaria and rashes are something I just have to live with.
I have mast cell activation syndrome. My IgE is low and my symptoms go along with non-IgE mediated reactions. My immunologist put me on a low histamine diet with some changes because I react to meat and fish. I’m so glad you brought up about doing these elimination diets under a doctors direction. There are so many low histamine diets out there. Prior to seeing my immunologist I had tried one of the popular low histamine diets and ended up nutrient deficient although it helped my urticaria. Becoming nutrient deficient from what I have read can worsen histamine intolerance and mast cell activation. My immunologist helping me find mast cell stabilizers that work and trialing different antihistamines has really helped me.
I am sensitive to histamine, with many food allergies, asthma and celiac disease. I recently saw a dermatologist and an allergist at the top rated hospital in my state and they were no where near as knowledge as you are in this video. Validating info! Thank you.
Thanks so much for this video!!! I was shamed by dermatologists in a top west coast teaching hospital who told me certain foods wouldn’t make my face red and swollen. I haven’t pursued it with health care professionals since the late 1980s. I have the courage to pursue this again thanks to you! ☺️
I am allergic to apples, tree nuts, raspberries, and tomatoes, as well as having seasonal allergies, eczema, and asthma. I’m glad you’re talking about this because the number of people who don’t believe I’m allergic to apples is way too high. Like why would I make that up?
Wow! The IGE food allergy is what I have. At first it was apples, then peaches and then plums, later its almost all fruits. One day I could eat strawberries, the next time I would go into anaphylactic shock one minute after eating. I finally got an EpiPen. I would explain this in detail to my Drs with no response until I got the EpiPen in my last visit. I can eat the fruits when they are cooked. Thanks this really helped. Now I know what I have!
I know so many people suffer with horrible allergies and this information will be so helpful to them. Thanks for all of the subjects you cover. You’re awesome, Dr Dray! Happy Wednesday! I hope you have a peaceful evening. 💜
Three weeks ago, I developed a sudden rash on my face, that looks like hives, but definitely isn’t. It occasionally itches, but I also work in a cleanroom, where we’re required to wear a beard cover, at minimum. That is what seems to aggravate it the most. I’ve still got this darn thing, and I have no idea where it came from. I’m just hoping it goes away soon. I’m just learning about histamine intolerance. I find it very interesting, since my sinus issues have been extra horrible after contracting COVID, last Summer.
Wow I’m so excited that you are discussing oral allergy syndrome! I have it and most healthcare professionals when asking me about my medical history look at me like I have 10 heads when I bring it up. They have no clue what I’m talking about so I just don’t mention it anymore 🤦🏻♀️ It saves me from trying to explain something I don’t really understand and seems trivial to most people.
