    1. That’s interesting as somewhere I heard that we do have an “end date” of the no. of heartbeats we get ie our lifespan is predetermined. I think this was presumed to be in our DNA but I’m not sure.

I choose to ignore this info. !!!

    2. I was going to mention the same thing! Some drug rep that visited my work said that there is a finite # of heartbeats for each person, and I’ve never heard that ever. I immediately decided I was never gonna exercise again! Lol

    1. @@AngelStormeeI don’t know where to start she’s fact checking one person with her own bs and the first chick wasn’t really wrong it wasn’t a myth she just mispoke. Skin turnover is not finite but skin turnover rate decreases with every cell division, this isn’t just skin it’s ALL cells incl. stem cells, because the ends of our chromosomes wear away every division causing the next division(turnover) to take longer. Retinol and other cream work by boosting cell turnover rate which is pretty much burning a candle from both ends. No one is saying you are going to run out of skin except the makeup salesman trying to get you to buy more makeup.

    2. @ExileXCross this makes no sense. The rate of turnover decreases as you age. That’s it. There’s no burning the candle at both ends, you’re not running down your telomeres by increasing the cell renewal rate using retinol, or acids etc. What are you talking about?

  1. Dr. Dray! Your makeup looks amazing. I’m glad you decided to play around with some colors because they really flatter you.

  2. It’s literally 7th grade science. I wish more people actually paid attention in school rather than focusing on how to fold a note like a football. 🤦🏻‍♀️

  3. Are you sure? My whole life I was under the impression that when you hit 80 no skin cells replenish and you’re left with no skin and the need to carry your intestines around in grocery bags.

    1. Facts. This happened to my cousin’s aunt’s mother in law when she turned 80. I always thought she was a gutsy lady.

    2. I can’t stop laughing! My parents are well over 80! They are healthy and active. Still golf! I better get some extra bags to them so they don’t lose their intestines at the country club! Hahahaha!

  4. The way people who’ve never studied medicine nor even majored in chemistry can be so confident with their whole chest. GIRL, it’s giving I’ve never passed high school chemistry.😜😂

  5. I watch some skin care enthusiasts or influencers but the moment they start to negate science I am out of there.

  6. I wish these influencers would crack a medical book open before making ignorant proclamations and perpetuating confusion and misinformation so confidently.

  7. For once I just want to hear her swear, I feel like it would break the internet. Thank you for being the ORIGINAL voice of reason on these subjects and still being the BEST.

  8. Serious Skin Care used to sell a product that sped up the skin cell turnover to assist in keeping my skin look fresh instead of dull. Because children are growing their skin cells have a rapid turnover and therefore have glowing skin. Also they lack those pesky hormones of adolescence.
