I use some setting powder on my eyelids after the sunscreen dries a bit. It helps set it and keeps it from melting into my eyes

This is the only thing that works for me. I’ve tried all the popular mineral, water resistant, American, European, Japanese, and/or Korean sunscreens and they can all burn my eyes. Powder is the only thing that prevents eye burn 100% of the time
EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS!!!! I just use a translucent powder underneath and around my eyes to set it in. Ever since I started this, my eyes stopped burning. And besides, I wear concealer that needs powder so it’s a “two birds one stone” kinda thing❤

Yes! Drmtlgy is the one sunscreen that I have re-purchased multiple times over the last 3-4 years. Both the tinted & non-tinted sunscreens are GREAT! It’s the only one I’ve found that will not seep into my eyes.
I use the color correcting eye sunscreens from Colorscience and Dermtlgy. Neither stings. Also most Korean sunscreens I have tried don’t sting even the chemical ones. And my eyes used to water if sunscreen was even nearby.

I’ve been using Elf Whoa Glow every day, usually under my makeup (which also has SPF) and I’ve never had any problems 👍
Paula’s Choice Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 is mineral and rubs in wonderfully. Also, Pipette makes a good non-water resistant mineral sunscreen that rubs in easily on the face. For chemical sunscreens, the only ones I can use that don’t sting my eyes are Korean made.
I also highly recommend k sunscreens for NOT causing burning! As a Florida Kid I used to get sunscreen burn in my eyes ALL SUMMER LONG. Not the same problem after switching to k sunscreens. Just gentler? Idk man

I have a Korean one and it def stings in the eyes whereas I never had issues with Vichy.
As a medium-tan cancer survivor who’s just now been able to use sunscreen and kinda have to take what I can get (eczema + allergies + compromised skin barrier), I’ve adopted the phrase, “Cast over cancer”🤣
What spf do you use. I’m currently on the Vanicream spf
I have been very pleased that the Korean sunscreens I use do not irritate my eyes. And they’re all organic/chemical. I suspect octinoxate is a culprit for me personally.
I do not understand how it is possible to apply sunscreen to the eyelid without seriously messing up my eye function and vision. My dermatologist told me that I should not be applying sunscreen to the eyelid, but I see so much content with dermatologists saying it is ok or even advisable to do so. I DO NOT GET IT.

My mom got skin cancer on her eye lid, it can happen, so personally I think it’s important to protect that area as well
@@isadewdew I agree, I just don’t understand how it’s possible without irritating my eyes to the point where I have to wash it off to restore functional vision. I guess some people’s eyes are less sensitive.

Use a stick, maybe a mineral stick – i like the benton one. It’s not super elegant but its the only one I’ve found that doesnt sting at all
This is exactly what I do. I use a zinc oxide based tinted sunscreen around my eye area and a chemical sunscreen that doesn’t go grey on me everywhere else. I use concealer under the eyes so any cast from the sunscreen is masked pretty well.
I use two different sunscreens… One zinc oxide based for my eyes and another chemical invisible sunscreen for the rest of the face and neck!!
If I put a little Vaseline at the corners of my eyes, it helps. If I’m working out or it’s a hot day, I will even put a bit along my lash lines. It blocks it from getting into my eyes for most of the day. Forget wearing mascara though. I’ve tried dozens and dozens of sunscreens and all, including her suggestions, end up in my eyes and all burn!
I’m a runner and there is no water resistant sunscreen that has never run into my eyes. Chemical, non-chemical no matter what brand and I’ve tried many. Especially in Texas heat. No matter how much I let it sink in.

I’ve got her too. I have dry eye syndrome, bad allergies and sunscreen in your eye will make you want to just rip them out of your head! Sooooo painful!
