@Karlos Dimitrios For me it leaves a subtle cast but not nearly as bad as most mineral sunscreens (I got fair-ish skin, kinda similar to Dr. Dray shade-wise). It definitely is a pretty shiny, as well. If you are looking for matte it ain’t the one for you, unless you wanna put an spf powder over it.
Hahaha, oh the trials of seeking the right sun screen. It can feel like a lot of effort to get the right one but when you find that one, it’s a game changer!
This happens to me all of the time! I just use rewetting lubricating drops if i am on the go. Works like a charm. The contact film cleaning eye drops work great as well.
I thought i was alone in this, i don’t feel as weird anymore so thank you. Started paying attention to my skin a couple months ago and the sunscreen is part of it. I do that exact type of blinking lol when the sunscreen gets in my eyes lol.
Serious question for Dr. Dray. In 2020 I became fixated on bettering my skincare routine by wearing spf daily. My skin went from relatively clear to inflamed, red, and with acne (I was 26 at the time so not related to puberty). I tried physical sunscreen but it was too heavy for my skin and caused breakouts, I tried chemical sunscreens and my face would always turn really red almost like a sunburn, I tried hybrids and I got the side effects of both. I’m a type III skin tone that tans with ease, though I do turn quite pale in the winter months. This summer I gave up on sunscreen and only wore it if I knew I would be out in the sun for several hours (at the beach, a full day of gardening, on a boat, etc.) My skin is looking better than ever and I thought to myself, isn’t there a biological reason why I’m able to tan and not get burned? Not to mention my skin just seems less sensitive in general when I don’t use spf. I mean my skin just isn’t happy with sunscreen and I’ve tried all kinds, cerave, laroche posay, coppertone, neutrogena, skin science, and others. The list goes on and on. I’ve tried mostly only formulations specific for acne or sensitive skin. So what gives? It seems like my skin type is just better with a little dose of sun to create a base tan than it is with the sunscreens. Is there any biases with the studies used in determining the efficacy of sunscreen and it’s ability to prevent skin cancer? Are the participants in these studies selected randomly and who is funding the studies? Is it ever advisable for someone to forgo the spf?
Excited to be here this evening Happy Wednesday Dr Dray . Thanks for sharing this have a good night.
My eyes are so sensitive its like chili oil splashed in them!! 😭
Lmao so trueeee
Exactly. It stings !
I usually start tearing up 😢
Omg the Neutrogena one literally would try to blind me after 30 mins. I now use the cerave hybrid and it’s aaamaaazinnggg
Yes, I too had to stop using Neutrogena and switched to Cerave.
Is the Cerave hybrid one leaves your face with a white cast? does it make your skin shiny especially in hot water?
Is that the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturising Lotion?

I feel legally blind when my sunscreen migrates
OMFG SAME
The Trader Joe’s sunscreen supergoop dupe saved me from this 😂😂😂 the best thing I’ve bought in a while
One of the first sunscreens I started wearing was neutrogena clear face spf 50. I swear, it could double as a pepper spray
Yesss I agree 100% it has an amazing finish but burns eyes like fire 🔥🧯
🤣 Totally relate to this!
Omg this is my biggest pet peeve more than white cast 😂
Every sun cream does this to me.
Then my eyes will tear for the whole day 😂 the struggle is real
Truth! Just happed to me today
Exactly when my woolworth sunscreen migrates. But stay with it because huge, organic (no white cast) and affordable sunscreen 🤣
Ooh, I hope you have a video coming about this issue. We need to make a list of tear-free sunscreens.
Yessss!!! I would love this too!
It’s different for everyone. You need to discover what doesnt sting you. Good luck, it aint easy 😉
Mineral sunscreen, babes. Never stings. None of them.
La roche posay anthelios fluid
Eucerin oil control
I literally put them all over my face even my eyelids no problem at all
The Bondi sands one she always uses all over both face and body does NOT burn, I’ve been using it daily all over my face with no sting 🎉
