Thanks for watching
Happy Friday! I found your video on Chemical Peels reassuring. I addressed my concern about my marionette lines to my Dermatologist, and she recommended a chemical peel. So, I will schedule one for this fall. I feel comforted about getting one after your detailed video from last week. Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed video for us!
Glad to hear the video was helpful 👍🏼
Greetings Theresa Berg hope u r well n Happy Friday😀👍💜….
@Dr Dray Super Helpful!
@Whitney Brown Thank you, I hope you have a great day!
I use the Uvamune on my body because it helps prevent my polymorphous light eruption. I used it on my face for the first time last week on vacation and I had a rosacea flare on my face. Very strange but wanted to share. I can’t think of what else it could’ve been, and it’s clearing up now after I switched sunscreen on my face.
Happy Friday Miss Andrea how are you ? Weekend is on the way yeah. It is really important to go to a board certified dermatologist to have a skin evaluation whether is it acne or rosacea or other skin related issue/issues. Also it also important or as a matter of fact of dire importance we as individuals have a rounded knowledge ( thanks to you Doctor Andrea always) about certain things for instance the differences of acne and rosacea. Thanks Miss Andrea for another simple yet detailed video that helps us all.❤😊 Can’t wait for the Vlogs as well 😄✌💟😇🙏.
You’re so full of information it amazes me, I could never remember all the stuff that just flows out of you mouth! You’re one smart cookie! Thank you!😁🥰
I have rosacea I find metrogel works best for myself. Wearing no make-up, using sunscreen, gentle cleanser, moisturiser, aveeno calm and restore products work well w rosacea. I limit sun exprosure also and avoid spicey foods, alcohol. I have to thank you, Dr. Dray, bc watching your channel I have learned SO much re; skin care😊
I would love to see a review on Bali Body’s spf for the face. I started using the face sunscreen a couple of weeks ago and it’s the first one EVER to not give me acne (I have very dry and sensitive acne prone skin) and my face has for years reacted to every single sunscreen I’ve tried. The acne disappeared as soon as I stopped using them so I was about to give up. I have tried soo many that are supposed to be ok for acne, eucerin, lrp etc and none have been working so would love to know about the ingredients in this one 😍
Yes, I am Hispanic and went through a lot with mistaken diagnosis, now under control but sun and some foods will flare up. Thank you for this Dr. Dray! ❤
My rosacea was misdiagnosed as acne for 10 years and by 3 diff derms. So thankful for the last derm that figured it out. No wonder my “acne” was never getting better 🙃
I’m 100% sure this so what’s happening to me. I’m 40 and have spent thousands at derms over the decades to look at me for a few seconds and diagnose it as “acne”. I’m having much better luck with my drugstore rosacea products than I ever had at the derms. My skin is combination an my breakout we’re always in my dry cheeks and not my oily t-zone, so that’s what initially made me do more research.
This is what happened to me, but by my doctor. I was 17 at the time. It was only when I was 23 when a dermatologist diagnosed it. I had acne rosacea 😔
Hello Dr. Drey: I had severe cystic acne as a child. It was on my face, arms, chest, and back.
The treatment at the time was to be scrubbed with dry ice and then exposed to radiation. I was also given copious amounts of tetracycline.
I was only 9 years old when this started, and I am wondering now, are you aware of any bad outcomes that developed because of this treatment? I also have scaring, although it is flatter now that I am 65. I have had depression most of my life. Do you think this is related? Thank you. I enjoy your videos.
You’re so knowledgeable, thorough and present your information in such a way it is easy to understand. I appreciate your content. Have a great weekend!
I had acne in my teens, 20’s and 30’s, and developed rosacea in my mid 40’s. Completely different treatment approaches! It took 3 years, and a lot of trial and error to calm my rosacea down. Soolantra was also a game changer.
Thank you for all the info in your videos! Love them!
Video suggestion: Could you please cover chemo rash and skin care during chemo and radiation? Thank you!
1). Thank you for the pics, however please include a trigger warning because I was eating 😂 2). Thank you for including pics of black people. As a fair skin black woman, my rosacea looks nothing like the patients in these pics so it is important to show that it doesn’t look the same in everyone that is black. 3). I was diagnosed in my mid 30s, however I believe I was dealing with it as a child. The sensitivity & flare ups where people thought it was cute and would pinch my cheeks was just painful! 4). Red wine, spicy foods, wind are triggers for me. Around my nostrils, I have inflamed blood vessels. Being properly diagnosed late in life is likely the reason they’re like that as you noted with a late diagnosis. I’m diligent about sunscreen use and the type of skincare I use on my face. Thank you doc for this video ❤
I have light rosacea that has gotten worse over the years. Food doesn’t trigger my rosacea but I get flush flare ups with my emotions/stress and I am a very emotional person! I’ve been binge watching your videos and they are very helpful! I’m wondering if you recommend Prosacea?
I actually had a sunscreen question. I recently received the new supergoop oil sunscreen. I’m curious how to use this to provide an effective protection level. I usually use 1/4 tsp or just under of Elta md spf 44 combined with Paula’s choice resist tinted spf just to get the shade right and like the consistency together. With an oil do you use 1/4 tsp of it still? I usually put on my sunscreen after serums and moisturizer before makeup, would you use the oil in the same way? I’m just very hesitant on getting the right protection from it as I’ve never used oil spf before.
Even though all my derms throughout my life just diagnosed it as acne after looking at me for 2 seconds, I started to be skeptical after seeing pictures of Papulopustular rosacea that look exactly what I have. Not to mention it never made sense to me why I’d breakout on my dry cheeks and never my oily t-zone. If acne is caused partially by oil, wouldn’t the super oily part of my face breakout instead? So I started using drugstore rosacea products and am actually making good progress now.
Another informative and interesting video. Happy Friday, Dr Dray! Hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a nice weekend!! 💜
this week Doc killing it with serious skin issues. many folks dealing with these conditions and all this info is so necessary. i hope ya’ll will improve your skin status!!! with Doc’s help
Thank you for this…I think rosacea might be misunderstood with some healthcare providers too. It seems pretty straightforward when you explain it!
