Dr Dray, you are 100% correct about itching/ scratching! Ugh.
For anyone struggling with hand eczema, esp in winters, please try Avene Cicalfate lips restorative cream. The combination of this ingredient in a balm form is wonderful. This is the only thing that worked for me on both my eyes and hands where I would get deep cuts due to dryness in winter. Hope this helps someone.

Yes my thoughts exactly! I was familiar with a lot of this advice as a sufferer but I still learned some new tips 😄
I had this on my fingers especially when i washed my hand too frequently. Now i learn to wear gloves when i wash dishes or apply cream immediately after washing my hand with soap. I still hate wearing gloves when i do the dishes or cook, so sometimes i skipped it but i still am careful to identify when it may be triggered from detergent or soap and the like.
I love eucerin advance cream or curel ultra healing cream. They works very well on my dry skin. Sometimes i also use jojoba oil
I had a very bad case of this both on my hands and feet from the time I was six years old until I was in my 20s. I really wish I’d had more information but that was years ago. Thanks for helping everyone who is affected with this today.
My “cure” is gloves for any water based cleaning, gloves at bedtime and gloves for outdoors the second the temps drop a bit. Naturally, I moisturizer all the time and what helps with the itch for me is Cantstan, strange I know but it really helps with the itch then I apply the moisturizer. If I don’t stay on top of it in the fall and winter I really pay dearly. It’s been a few years since I’ve had a serious flare up but I can’t let my guard down. I also found that stress played a big part as well. Good luck everyone. 🇨🇦
There’s a prescriotion cream I’ve used & it works w/2 days, but I don’t remember the name of it.
I sadly suffer for this in the summer only. In the winter is different but still there. Thank you for this video

Thanks bunches!! 18 years bed and breakfast live in manager with little help, this was such a problem because of cleaning products and frequent handwashing. Still have to be careful as I have hyper sensitive skin prone to dermatitis. Watch ur videos often since you appeared in my feed.
I never comment on videos but I’ve been struggling with this eczema flareup for over a year, and I can not be more grateful for all the information shared in this video. Thank you, Dr. Dray!!
It has taken me 10+ years of struggle with this chronic condition to finally identify a routine that works for me. First, I ditched any moisturizer that doesn’t have the “accepted” stamp from the National Eczema Association. Eventually, in conjunction with my topical steroid for major flare ups (Betamethasone Dipropionate), I discovered that Vanicream Moisturizing Cream works best for my hands and I apply it immediately after contact with water. I make sure that I wear gloves when washing dishes, and I only use castile soap or african black soap for washing my hands, immediately followed by the Vanicream. After several months, my hands have finally stopped blistering and my pitted nails are returning to normal. It’s been a long road, but I’m so thankful to finally find what works for me and I hope that this continues to work. Eczema is tricky. Now I’m fighting nummular eczema on other parts of my body and the same approach isn’t as effective. *Sigh*
great timing for this video! in my case, it’s always my index and middle finger on the mouse at work that get rashes. Sweat is the main irritant, but also pool water, citrus and even ginger! Dramatically different moisturizer from Clinique, tough not cheap, is a game changer to get rid of leathery fingers.
