Personal events have made it difficult for me to post this Summer, so while this video is overdue, I also believe sunscreen is relevant year round! Since it's been and continues to be scorching, I wanted to talk about what I've been reaching for in unprecedented heat, new UV filters and formulas that are more resistant than ever to water, humidity, sweat and friction! Also sharing a new gadget that I've been obsessed with! Ofcourse, application and reapplication ever couple of hours of exposure is necessary no matter how tough and grippy your sunscreen is! Also, those residing in the US, don't hate me as most of these sunscreens aren't readily available. I feel your pain, I'm one of you.
Thank you for your patience, my friends. I truly appreciate you.

Hi, can we know which ones of those sunscreens are invisible/visible on all skin tones ? Thanks!
🙌🏾
Mineral filters (Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) and Tinosorb M tend to leave white cast. From my experience the la roche posay one she mentioned in the video leaves absolutely no cast on my skin.
From my experience the LRP and Anessa are practically invisible. I have a brown/olive skintone.
OMG, welcome back. Been missing youuu. Hope all is well for you 🧡
I only use Australian brands as I know they are long lasting, provide excellent protection and don’t have any nasty surprises. Although I do change it up from summer to winter.
The only sunscreen my skin loves as of now is Senka Perfect UV Gel. The other few I have tried made my skin too greasy and stung my eyes. ☹️
La Roche posay is out of stock everywhere since about a month ago. Not sure what’s going on. Supply chain problems?
The Mexoryl 400 sunscreens are basically the only ones I use on my face now. And the fact I can apply them right up to my eyelashes with no problems is so reassuring to me.
When I was younger sitting in direct sunlight for more than s few minutes during peek hours would nearly send me into a panic attack!
Obviously I would never recommend such recklessness even today, but a few minutes here and there with protection like this is ok.
I didn’t get the merest hint of a tan this summer, and I’ve been outside quite a bit.
I have no discolouration at 51 and have no complaints about how much younger than my years my skin look.
LOVE hearing your sunscreen favorites! I live in eternal hope that the US gets on board with all these great filters 🤞
Loving the La Roche Posay Anthelios sunscreen. Always using it under my foundation, works great and doesn’t move the makeup around as it is not greasy on the skin
There is a fragrance free version of the Avene Ultra Light. I love it!
I’ve been loving the avene intense protect. It’s so affordable and works well. Our whole family used it almost exclusively this summer at the pool and no one got sunburned. Also it kept our skin more moisturized than usual. We do live in a very dry area so definitely benefit from the more emollient properties. I just omit am moisturizer when I use it. Also it works so well under makeup. Thanks for introducing new sunscreens!
I hope Evy will consider formulating without Octorylene! I hope they also come out with one for sensitive skins that can’t tolerate vitamin c or other actives
I use that Anessa milk 2022 formula even as my everyday sunscreen. Bcs it’s my holy grail for my oily skin. In fact that’s the only sunscreen that can hold my sebum.
It is super water resistant (super hydrophobic formula) but surprisingly not greasy like water resistant european sunscreens. And the superior protection is my second most important thing. I don’t even get any tan from long direct sun exposure with that Anessa milk.
Great video. I live in the desert and am active running and hiking. I’m obsessed with sunscreen now. I worry about chemical sunscreens because I use so much sunscreen most of the year. The physical block sunscreens don’t stay on the skin as well because they wipe off when you blow your nose or put your hand in your pocket. Do you think chemical sunscreens are safe? I am fair skinned and have a lot of freckles/dark spots. Would you go with the types of chemical sunscreens reviewed in this video, or pure physical blockers if you were in my shoes? Thanks for the review.
Love your videos! I would love to see a windy day skin care video! Or a transition to fall skin care video!
Hi do u have any sunscreen recommendation in the form of stick/ roll on?
Yeah I definitely need that compact! I’m curious to know if it works the same for powdered sunscreen? I apply the usual cream formula in the morning but usually reapply SPF with a powder throughout the day. Thank you for sharing your favorites! You & I have pretty much the same skin type so your recommendations are always spot on. Definitely planning on ordering the Avené, EVY, & Anessa 🙏🏻❤️🔥
You do not disappoint with latest info.
I started using EltaMD UV Clear untinted spf 46. It has greatly improved my older skin. I think it is the inclusion of niacinamide in the formula that has had such a positive effect.
Anessa is no joke in terms of its water resistant. It took me at least two times of washing it off from my hand using a dishwashing liquid which is supposed to be strong.
In the U.S. I purchased a similar UV compact mirror on Amazon called Fenchilin. I also have a larger one called UV Reveal, though they seem to have ceased production on that after being featured on Shark Tank and blowing it when SPF was applied to a black man and the mirror didn’t work. For my purposes however, it works. After I apply I carefully scan my face for missed spots or thin spots of coverage, and listen, I am not even to your reviews of the actual SPFs yet, but I already know my beloved UV MUNE stands up to tons of sweating, and seriously, it is there still after a shower. Only oil and a lot of it, will get it off!
