Lol.. I use eye cream.. I feel the same, every time someone speaks against it.. but I do understand that it is not necessary.. if you look at it, frankly skin care itself is not necessary, my grandparents didn’t do anything, my mom used moisturiser/face cream for special occasions.. we just evolve.. so in 2023, eye cream is necessary in everyone’s skin care routine..
I believe those who think they don’t need eye cream are either 1. Lucky with the skin around their eye area, or 2. Aren’t using a good one so they’re not seeing results..: in my opinion anyway
Lol bottom line do what is best for you!! No you don’t NEED eye cream, but if you like it, use it for a specific purpose and your reg moisturizer doesn’t serve that purpose or have just seen better results that way the is no problem with using one 😂
I love this especially that neck roll, lol. I use a retinoid eye cream and layer moisturizer over. Nothing crazy, just part of my routine that suits me.
If it works for everyone then fine stick with it and if others don’t want to include it for any reason at all fine as well. But I’m not gonna lie trying it for a while is also a bit of beneficial fun at least for me 😉☺🙏💖
I use it every other day: 1 day -> Differin or tretinoin skipping the eye area, next day -> simple moisturizer all over the face + retinal eye cream :D
I used to be one of those who said eye cream is just moisturizer in an expensive tiny tub, but lo and behold, I started using a different cream for my under-eyes and I’m never going back. Mind you I have periorbital dermatitis and esp in the morning or when I wear makemy under-eyes are supremely dry as compared to my t-zone, so now I use a caffeine gel and a sample of gentle face moisturizer that’s thicker lol
Dr Dray, I would love to know why my eyelid space shrinks throughout the day… my eyes are naturally hooded & mature, so I am not surprised I have wrinkling and drooping. I have a small crescent of visible lid in the AM, ofc fresh moisturizer helps (actually a few layers of humectants + sunscreen + gold bond + a couple drops of oil), but after my evening routine, which is even more moisturizing (my skin won’t hold moisture naturally & I think u lived in denver, u know the air in this region), my crease still rests directly on my lashline. is it just gravity or is there something I can do? my eye makeup disappears lol, but it’s all still there, the crease droop just covers my lid slowly throughout the day.

Lol😂when doc does that neck roll… she not playing!😆
I just use my normal moisturizer because I don’t want to buy a whole separate product but I definitely never skip putting it on my eyelids!

Or…they watched her older videos where she called them a gimmick.
I use retinol and caffeine eye cream La Roche Posay Redermic R. It’s a very gentle and moisturizing eye cream. No wrinkles around my eyes.
I mean I don’t use eye cream but I don’t judge others for using it. I just disagree with the marketing surrounding most of them.
I use both. Just depends on the day lol
It doesn’t have to be labeled “eye cream” but I MUST have a thicker, more occlusive moisturizer around my eye area.
Exactly. I just use my regular moisturizer, then apply petrolatum over. 😊
I put my skincare everywhere including under my eyes but there’s been a definite improvement since using a basic eye cream on top

I love yew cream because I use a heavy duty moisturizer and need something lighter I’m under my eyes
I never use eye cream. I do use my face cream around my eyes. I’m 60 with no wrinkles.

no amount of eye cream will save my caved-in, hollow eye-sockets
Do you have any recommendations for silicone/dimethicone free products? I am allergic 😢
I use tretinoin 😊
