Walgreens is ALWAYS super expensive for anything!😳
on another note, the HA shampoo/cond from L’Oreal is great! and Kristen ess brand seems pretty decent too!
very steep prices
I agree. I rarely shop there anymore, unless it’s for something I can only find there. But yea, uber expensive! 🤑
also CVS and Rite-Aid all three major drugstores are beyond ridiculous with their prices
@@helpfulnatural same with me
I agree! Kristeness products are nice.
Loveeee these types of videos….geesh prices rising like crazy even for the generic store dupes.
thanks for watching
Thank you for taking us shopping & giving us such great information! Have a great week! ❤️
I understand Walgreens has to maintain its finances, and one of the ways in order to do so is to raise prices. But I feel like it caused the opposite effect: it wards people away, since they’re aware the products there are more expensive than other locations 😅 as a result, the high prices might be hurting them more in the long run. I’m not sure how others feel about this, so I would love some thoughts. (My thoughts are the same in regards to CVS).
My local Walgreens is relatively empty, as Target, CVS, and Rite Aid are all a few blocks away
It’s also the amount of SHOPLIFTING that is going on and many stores have to place items under lock and key.
Agree. Walgreens where I live is very expensive. I find WalMart & Target prices much more reasonable.
I feel the same way! I don’t shop at Walgreens or cvs for that reason. I buy from Target Ulta or Amazon
Same, worked at CVS and shocking seeing stuff I stocked was easily 2-3x the price than at Target. When I worked at Walgreens in college years back it definitely was more expensive but not THIS bad. What happened!!
Shoplifting has changed everything.
This information was very helpful… it’s not right drugstore versions of many products are getting pricey too 😏 I’ve been using the Unscented aluminum free deodorant from Green Beaver for over 20 years. This company is based in Canada … excellent products that are suitable for sensitive skin . Take care everyone 🌹
I only buy from Walgreens or CVS when I have multiple coupons or rewards to stack
Same! I work that stuff really hard.
THIS! I use coupons plus rebate apps and often get cheap or FREE skincare at CVS and Walgreens! IYKYK 🙌😊
It seems like Walgreens does more of their own versions of products than Target or Walmart, but in general they’re so expensive. I wish Target would do as many because that’s where I prefer to shop.
Pricing at the drugstore is out of hand. K beauty options, even with the shipping, are often more affordable.
Walmart and Stylevana for me. Cheapest stores for my needs.
As a former Walgreen employee, I can tell you they are the Masters of price gouging.
I worked for them a year before that I was at Long’s (14 years ) before Walgreen’s Thanks* for this there’s Walgreens down the street from us and yeah there like Long’s was take care
CVS is even worse.
CVS has something to say about it. 😂
@@Jess-737 I agree. In my area, CVS is definitely worse. Walgreens offer better prices.
@@jyn88 And CVS tries to make it sound like they’re doing you a favor too. Like they’ll have $25 supplement on sale buy one get one free. I got that once, then realized later it’s only $7 at Walmart and $9 on Amazon for the same brand. So even with the BOGO sale at CVS it’s a ripoff.
drugstore skincare prices have become INSANE post-Covid I have seen stuff for $30 to $40 etc. hardly anything is under 15 or 20 dollars anymore it is beyond ridiculous. I have started buying some of the store name/generic products to save some coin
Bidenomics. Everything is expensive now!
I feel like when skincare became the new “makeup” as far as trends go, they jacked up all the prices on the tiktok faves like Vanicream and cerave.

SkinSmart raised their hypochlorous spray *significantly* to almost $18 !! This Walgreens version is much cheaper 👏
I’m a former Walgreen’s employee and they do have some good coupons on the app and rewards you can earn depending how much you spend.
Enjoyed this- like the commentary on the ingredients and the evidence based items that actually do their job!
i love these kinds of videos. it’s like shopping with a guru. thank you so much.
I feel like Walgreens has even higher prices than cvs. Those 2 lead the pack in terms of inflated pricing. I try to stick to Walmart or Target or amazon. Always appreciate your videos!
Walgreens price gouges and then some. I’m not interested in becoming a member and searching through coupons to possibly pay the same price that the same product would cost at literally any other store or Amazon. Not to mention you usually have to buy two products to get the “deal” and it still costs more than if you bought two products at Target or Walmart.
The prices in drugstores has gotten out of control. I can’t afford to shop there unless I catch a really good sale which is rare. I ordered the Loreal hair mask (on your recommendation) from Amazon along with the shampoo and conditioner and I love all three! Thanks, Dr Dray!! You’re always helping us save money and it’s much appreciated. Happy Monday! I hope you have a lovely evening. 💕

I’m not an ex-employee of Walgreen nor a dermatologist however I had to see a dermatologist because of a skin infection on my face. Very interesting visit. Every over the counter cosmetic, from the most expensive to the least, is not going to penetrate through that top layer of skin. The cosmetic industry has made tons of millions of dollars and we women bought into their lies. I am so angry about the amount of money I have spent on moisturizer when I could have just applied vaseline. Most importantly, I have saved myself a ton of money just visiting a dermatologist. My skin care routine has been extremely simplified! Seek out a dermatologist to create a skin care regimen for you. You will save yourself time and a lot of money.
Back in 2000 when i was 20, I lived in Kirkland WA and down the street was the fanciest Walgreens ever! The prices were always high, but they had the coolest stuff so i always bought it 😭
OMGosh, I think I know exactly what Walgreens you are talking about. I was also 20 in 2000 and in the process of moving out of my parents house in Redmond.
I’m glad you called out Walgreen’s being on some bs. I was in there today and their prices are nuts. And they really get on my nerves with everything being 50% off the second item as if we don’t know that trick.
Hey Daddy 🥰
