  1. Dr Dray!!! I’m so happy!! I stopped by Walgreens this morning after dropping off my son at school and grabbed the neutrogena tinted sunscreen. OMGG I LOOOOOOOVE IT!!! I Absolutely love it!!Thank you sooo so much.❤
I cannot apply any chemical sunscreens no matter which country they’re from because they sting my eyes, so I found it hard to apply sunscreen daily.
I am “fair” and I thought I would be ok with medium, but I am so glad that I got light tone because medium would have been too dark for me.
While it is small for the price, I rather pay for something that I can wear daily comfortably than the $40+ dollar ones that burn my eyes and leave me looking like a Willy wonka character.

    1. @philly jilly💋 no fragrance. It’s awesome. I have very sensitive eyes and I’ve swiped this right over them to see if it would irritate them but not at all.

  2. I have a whole body panel that I use almost daily for 10 mins on each side of my body. When using it for the body I use red and infrared light and I find it helps with muscle soreness. I use the red light for my face and hair. I found my hair loss has greatly reduced on the crown and new grown coming in. I also noticed the fine hairs on my face seem to have increased and I shave my face now. I have no regrets using this device

    1. I do the same– I love mine so much (it’s both red LED and NIR). My light time is my meditation time. It wasn’t cheap (not too bad either), but it’s worth every dime to me. I like having the panel better than just a mask because I can hit muscles, hair, skin, etc in one shot. (Mine is by Platinum LED.)

    2. @Maybe it’s timeIt’s helped with my hair loss for sure. But you usually can’t get really good results unless you do more than one thing (oral and/or topical minoxidil, Finasteride, redlight, etc). I’ve had phenomenal results using all of them together!

    1. @Naima Hossain I have the Current Body one. I think it is very similar to the Omnilux one (at least in physical appearance). I don’t know if there is a difference in their specifications. I have the face mask, but I also place it over my chest and neck (yes, there are holes for your eyes and mouth but I move it around so I’m covering the places where the holes are). I’m getting my money’s worth out of mine 😊

  3. Red light therapy is being promoted as a treatment for some common skin conditions. It’s still an emerging therapy but holds a lot of promise. If you’re interested in RLT treatment, it’s best to first discuss this with your healthcare provider or dermatologist. Your skin professional will examine your skin first and then confirm a diagnosis. Then, you’ll work together to discuss treatment options that’ll achieve your desired result. Options may or may not include red light therapy. Never hesitate to ask your healthcare provider about treatment options — including if you have an interest in a particular therapy, if it’s appropriate to use for your skin condition and if it’s safe and effective.

One more question Doctor Andrea can Red Light therapy help with the scald’s injuries and more specifically the redness that is left behind just curious?

  4. Is this safe for hyperpigmentation ? I read that its not recommended to use with melasma..i have some sun spots and Im afraid it will worsen it…

  5. I’m 55 and use the Red Light Mito panel 10 mins daily. I alternate between red light and infrared red light. I love it!! Thank you Dr for this information. You’re awesome! xo

  6. Very interesting! I’ve used omnilux masks consistently for over two years, and it does make my skin healthier and thicker. I’m 59, so I’ll take whatever I can get when it comes to skin health. I would repurchase in a heartbeat. I added it to your recommended sunscreen, moisturizer, and tretanoin, which I had begun about four years ago.

  7. Great video as always Dr. Dray!
I was wondering what your thoughts are on this sudden “dry cleansing” trend I’ve been seeing on social media, where you oil cleanse as normal and then apply your water based cleanser to dry skin almost like a mask, let it sit/absorb for a minute or so and then rinse it off? I can’t for the life of me come up with an explanation as to why/how/if this would benefit the skin and I’m quite skeptical about the rave results people have been saying this has done for them, curious to know what you think!
Thank you for your informative content:D

  8. My doctor recommended red light therapy for psoriasis which is a real problem for me !
Anybody have results for this problem ?
Thanks Dr. Dray for this video!
Love to you and Mom and Tybee 💚

  9. This is a very fascinating and useful video. I recently purchased 2 red light therapy devices that both also offer near infrared light therapy. One is a large panel and the other is smaller much like a pocket sized flashlight. I use them for both skin care and to relieve pain in joints/muscles. Good to know more details about how they work. Thank you! 👍😊

  10. In your research, did you happen to find any information on the bulb life of these masks and devices. I have heard the strength of the individual bulbs diminishes over time but it has been impossible to find out more about. I have asked a few of the influencers who are promoting and comparing these red light devices but none have answered my question. Thank you!

  11. There was recently a post on Reddit from a woman who claimed she’d experienced fat loss from using a microcurrent device. A couple of people chimed in and said they’d experienced the same phenomenon. I’d love to hear your opinion on this. The women described seeing this fat loss over years which made me think it was just due to aging….idk, I’d love to hear from you on this.

    1. Anecdotal, but I’ve been using one for a while and my face doesn’t seem to have lost any fat—and I’m middle-aged so I’d be at risk!

    2. I don’t think it’s fat that is loss. I dont deny their claims by any means. But my take is maybe the volume lost they feel could have come from losing “water retention” in face or they could experience aging fat loss naturally from aging process over the years especially more noticeable in their 30s or even as early as late 20s which makes sense because these are age group of people who buys these type of devices and/or older.

  12. I am so glad you are addressing this! It seems that facial fat loss is a hot topic right now and rather than using common sense and looking at the mechanisms at question, misinformation spreads and with it panic.
Personally I love LED therapy and use it almost daily

  13. I’ve noticed red and yellow light therapy (830,590 and 633nm) to be beneficial for muscle and joint pain. I was wondering if the mechanisms behind this were understood well, and maybe if some of the therapeutic benefit may be resulting from the heat (similar to the muscle relaxation you may experience from a hot shower)?

  14. I own a omnilux and been happy with it. I just want to mention that I did put the mask (since it’s flat) across my abdomen where all my stretch marks developed 25 yrs ago from my pregnancy. I have to say it did seem effective in improving the look & skin there.

  15. I’d love for you to talk about how this in relation to rosacea specifically. I can go out for just a regular paced walk, SPF and hat on and sometime I come back to huge red blotches everywhere. Same can happen just by watching lying in bed and watching a show on my cell or laptop. It’s so incredibly uncomfortable for one but also so stressful because you don’t know if the red splotches are just temporary or if they will be permanent. Most people can flush and not worry they are gonna be left with a horrible scar but for folks with rosacea flare-ups can absolutely leave a mark.

    1. I use RED/NIR belt on my face daily 15 mins, and after 2 months of use I noticed good improvement – less redness definitely, I even started having spicy food sometimes. I also would love to hear about RED/NIR + rosacea

  16. I noticed that the spectrum of red light for these at home beauty devices can fall in the same range as the spectrum for the at home red LED devices for growing marijuana. So I purchased one of those because it was about $15 and I am soon going to give that a try 🍀

    1. Yes, that’s true, but PLEASE check the wavelengths your device is emmiting!

The ones you want (which turned out to be beneficial) are 630, 660, 810, and 850nm (red + near IR)
AVOID using the device if you have wavelengths around 400nm because that is ultraviolet light that will cause premature aging and damage to your DNA! (those wavelengths are necessary for plants to grow stronger, but are quite harmful to our skin)

I’m also making my own fixture (it’s MUCH cheaper and will have a lot more power than the domestic ones), but I’m being very careful and cautious with the LED and power selection, because I don’t want to make any mistake that I may regret in the future. JUST BE CAREFUL, OK? This is not a joke, we are dealing with our own health by doing this!!
More power does not mean “better”…
There is a therapeutic dose with these treatments. If you go below that dosage, you may not have any improvement. And if you go over that dose (by overdose), you will have unwanted effects or even damage!!

  17. I experienced facial fat loss 4 months after I started using the omnilux LED mask. It’s more prominent in the forehead. I commented under one of Dr. Rajani’s videos, talking about home devices induced fat loss, and many replied that they’ve been experiencing the same. Unless there’s a research study specifically looking at this side effect, we can’t deny that this could happen.

  18. Please do microcurrent devices next! I keep hearing these (Nuface/Foreo) have caused facial fat loss as well, but also older women are using it, and this fat loss or drooping could be happening naturally due to accelerated aging. I’d like to know if I should continue with my Nuface or not :/

  19. You are so knowledgeable dr dray, really appreciate your in-depth dive into all the topics you address. I have rosacea and use an led red light masks almost daily and it has really helped. Thank you. Also really appreciated the video on eyelash serums as I do use revitalise, but will maybe stop now.
