@d b oh thank you. Does it go by city and state. Plus I went to a regular dermatologist for somthing and he didn’t discuss anything anti aging he could offer. A friend told me I needed a cosmetic dermatologist or somthing? Do you know?
@HisSongGirl:MONI You can search by city/state. A regular derm should be able to discuss anti-aging but yes, there are cosmetic derms (Jason Emer, MD is one and has channel).
Have you heard of Eyeglow filler procedure? It’s a filler that contains hyaluronic acid with a white lightening agent for dark circles. Can you review it for us?
She’s covered dermal fillers for eye in some of her videos, not necessarily the one by Dr. Azi though.
@d b thank you, yes I’ve watched her videos. I’m curious about this specific procedure because it looks like it actually lightens them with the white tinted filler.

I did three treatments on my face, neck and stomach. I feel like results were minimal to be honest. It certainly wasn’t cheap and even with numbing it was painful.

I just had my third treatment last week. Incredibly painful. My aesthetician said results would be visible 4-8 weeks after 3rd treatment and since it encourages collagen production it would ultimately benefit me in later years. Who knows? I do believe it did something but don’t think it’s super apparent.
I wish I could go back for smaller targeted areas. The entire face and neck is a super painful. Took an hour not 20 minutes.
@Rose Quartz be careful, for some people the collagen never comes back. there’s literally a whole Facebook group of people who are trying to figure out what to do bc they have been disfigured by it. it does temporarily shrink the skin which makes it look tighter, but it destroys your fat and collagen underneath which makes you look older. you have to ask yourself why is Kim talking about it…
@Montessori Frankfort you need to make sure that they use cooling air at the same time when they do micro needling with RF for you. The difference in pain level and tolerance are like day and night. For cooling air they need another machine
@Rose Quartz yes, I think DrDray confused. Because for bumbling 30 min is enough, not 1 hour. But the procedure itself then 1 hour if they do face and neck
First of all, thank you for your videos, they are very informative. Been considering this procedure. Have had micro needling in the past but did not like what it did to my under eyes. Made me have more pronounced underwear bags, which was something I did nor deal with prior to the procedures. Could the radio frequency micro needling, cause the same issue? I have very crepey under eyes and was hoping this would improve it.

@Paula Viewer Hi Paula. My under eye bags bother me more than anything else. I was hoping there was something for those bags besides blepharoplasty. Maybe you have swelling in the bags from the procedure, depending on how long ago it was done. Maybe you just have to wait until the excess fluid in the bags goes away. How long ago was your procedure?

@Ruth Ann Castillo Hi Ruth, I had 3 procedures 3 years ago. Eventually the bags did go away but the crepey skin did not improve.
@Ruthie R I had 3 procedures done 3 years ago. It was a pen.I wish I had taken pictures before so I could have compared to how I looked a year later.
I had 3 RF Microneedling sessions a few years ago and was very happy with it. Smoothed and firmed up my skin.
I’ve had procedure on twice on my face and on my stomach (2 months apart) and I love the results.
How long does it last?

i’ve done multiple sessions of rf microneedling and honestly don’t think it’s worth the $ unless you do sooo many sessions. i’ve gotten sessions at both beauty/skin spas and my dermatologist, pretty similar minimal results
Ben Talei warns against doing too many bc it causes chronic inflammation which leads to aging. Thank you for your honest review.
RF Microneedling was NOT good for me. Whether it was the person who performed the procedure or something about my own skin, I don’t know, but I lost fat in my face which caused my face to look older — droopy, with loss of elasticity. I even had a spot shaped like the head of the device on my forehead that remained for a couple of years. The skin there looked more textured than elsewhere. Consumers, beware. I’ve heard many other stories of devices which heat the skin causing fat loss.
I actually heard it can cause fat loss, which i don’t need.
The fat loss thing prevents me from even thinking about trying this 🙏
Yes I would be keen to know the risks are with facial fat loss.
Dear Dr Dray, this was very interesting. Would it be possible to do a video on cool peels? It is supposed to be a mild form of co2 fractional laser with a lot less downtime.

What are your thoughts on the unwanted side effect of subcutaneous fat loss in the face/neck causing the skin to look aged?
I had this happen to me (with ultherapy) and ended up very premature jowling at age 39.
Great breakdown once again! It is nice to know how these other options are suitable for deeper skin tones.
I did 3 sessions (47yo male.) The procedure is very painful. But immediately after not painful. I think it took 10 years off my face/neck. Very important to go to a recommended dermatologist. Mine is in Beverly Hills, CA. Spend the extra money (not much more) for a Dr vs medi spa. Otherwise you’re wasting your money.

I have had 2 of 4 treatments of RFMN for my abdomen hoping to help with stretch marks and sagging skin my babies left me with. ❤ I have never had any other cosmetic procedure before, and am very much usually a “this is me” girl, but the sagging skin (matron’s pouch) was hugely affecting my body image and is one of the only things I really truly feel bothered by when I see myself in the mirror. This procedure was the one that the medical spa recommended. After having 2 treatments I have not yet noticed results. I have 4 treatments scheduled and, as Dr. Dray mentioned, they have told me that it can take up to a year after your last treatment to fully realize the effects. It is not a fun treatment to go through, so I am hoping to see some improvement with this. For reference, the actual microneedling procedure I would say takes 60-90 minutes, plus an hour for the numbing cream to take effect (I metabolize the numbing agent quickly so near the end is particularly painful because I have very little numbing left). That is for 1000 injections with a 25-needle head (25,000 injections in total for my abdomen).

@Stephanie Aya 4 treatments were quoted at $3200. I am in the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario, Canada. And I was also given some bonus treatments with my quote (EndyMed skin tightening treatments). I would definitely get quotes from a couple of different places.

@Leslie Gillespie Hi Leslie, I too wish you well, but I think Sky10811 is likely correct. If it’s actual excess skin, only surgery can address that. If it’s skin you can actually grab on to, they were unethical in not turning you away and recommending you look into a surgeon instead.
I’ve had this on my abdomen, hips, and inner thighs. Pregnancy weight gain left the skin with stretch marks and loose. This worked and I will definitely be saving and having more done. My skin looks much smoother, stretch marks are barely noticeable and skin feels more elastic.
Interesting procedure. I wonder if there is any benefit for hair growth as well as under the jawline and attempting to reduce a double chin. Also would having a dental implant interfere with this procedure, if it was done around the face, given the metal component?
I just had my first opus plasma laser done this week. It sounds more promising than rf micro needling. I had 3 of those and while I feel they helped lift my face and tighten to an effect, I am hopeful the opus is much better.
I had 3 treatments of Morpheus8, last treatment 3 weeks ago. Really haven’t noticed much. IMHO way overpriced for results. Was disappointed to find out, after I had already signed up and paid, procedure was done by aesthetician, not board-certified dermatologist. Would results be different?
