  1. I used to have chapped lipe my entire life. No matter how hard i tried to used my chapstick regularly. But they were always flavored, sometime even those stupid eos balls. Now that i only use vaseline or aquaphore, my lips are the smoothest they have ever been!

    1. Hell heah! I totally agree with you, and I’ll drop a further tip: before putting petrolatum, put a drop of a good humectant – pure aloe vera gel is very good but for me cosrx 96 snail mucine essence works just wonderful. You’ll see the result the day after, the hydratation is unbelievable and it takes a lot to completely fade!

    2. In my case chapstick made it worse. Whenever I get crusty lips I just wait it out and absolutely avoid licking it. Saliva worsens it too.

    3. Yeah I much prefer things in a tub or a tube rather than a stick, it allows you to get a lot more product on your lips

  2. Ever since I’ve followed dr drays methods, I’ve never had dry lips. And I’m a ski instructor in the dry, windy, sunny but cold mountains.

  3. Great tip. Can you do a video about neck creams? Are they really worth it? Or can we just use whatever we put on our face or body? Thank you! Love your videos.❤

  4. I wet a rag with warm water, hold it on my lips, and then apply a thick layer of chapstick or vaseline. Overnight it sort of gooifys the dead skin.

  5. I was just looking for products online to remove dead skin from my lips like a complete lip package that contains exfoliation, balm and a lip pack. And what a timing!!! I thought it was all necessary but thanks to you for making it so simple.

  6. Hell yeah! Petrolatum was the only remedy for my extra chapped lips against the dry, cold German winter, and I’ll drop here a further tip: before putting petrolatum, put a drop of a good humectant – pure aloe vera gel is very good but for me cosrx 96 snail mucine essence worked just perfect. You’ll see the result the day after, the hydratation is unbelievable and it takes a lot to fade completely! Instead, if you have a lot of dead skin on your lips, the perfect combination for me is humectant + Nuxe’s rêve de miel, the only lips-specific product that ever worked with me – by using it, the dead skin will be super soft and it will fall away in few hours after you wake up. It ain’t super cheap, tho, so probably any oil will just work fine for that :)

  7. Dr Dray, I could cry: I’ve dealt with peeling lips 12 months a year since I was a kid. Watching at 4am – and I’m getting out of cozy bed right now to go grease m’oriface 😂 LOVE YOU

  8. Been using Shea butter for ages! Started when I lost my lipbalm & honestly never went back. I’m thankful the lipscrub era is over because the only time it was useful was before using a liquid lipstick 🤣

  9. Thank you! Been struggling with this for months. I love how you’re like “don’t over think it” lol

  10. Yes this is what works!! I used to just use Vaseline balm but the moisture wouldn’t last until I started an oil based balm and then petrolatum on top. It’s the dynamic duo neither work as well on their own

  11. Yay! That’s what I do! I noticed that normal chapstick doesn’t work for me. So when my cousin bought some “natural” ones, one of them was a lip oíl. I put the most tolerable chapstick on, then the lip oíl. So far, so good!

  12. Been doing the same thing since I was 10. I’m 28 now. I have peely chapped lips all year round so this is my go to. I do this at night right before I go to sleep and the next day I just rub my lips with a soft cloth. I’ve never needed any lip scrubs of any kind.
