I did this by accident with my feet (putting lotion on and then socks before bed to sleep in) for a few weeks and my feet were SO soft it backfired because they became too delicate so it hurt to walk barefoot haha but definitely recommend for those with really dry feet! I just didnt need it and went overboard but it definitely works!!
I did this with my feet as well and got my sister to do it. She got up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, half asleep, totally forgot about her foot gloves being on and went flying across the floor 🤣🤣🤣. No harm done and lots of laughter.
Excellent advice for Nurses, hairdressers and anyone who has to frequently wash their hands for work. I recommend going to bed with the gloves on and remove the following morning. Does wonders for excema and dermatitis and Raynauds conditions. My favourite moisturiser for extreme dry hands is Hamilton 10% urea. 😊
That’s a good idea w/the gloves! I bought a bunch of flimsy shower caps. I moisturize, put them on my feet, then socks. In the winter, I put conditioner on my hair, cap, go workout, sweat & keeps my hair soft & shiny.😊
So is it good to get dressed right after moisturizing your body? I typically let it sit before I get dressed because I thought the clothes would absorb the product instead of me
I would think that it would depend on the material of your clothing. This works because the gloves are 100% cotton, so if your clothes are not 100% cotton (which most aren’t these days) it probably wouldn’t work quite as well. I am happily open to correction on this 😁
Dr. Dray, I have a question. A coworker of mine had a chemical peel that was left on too long. She has seen a dermatologist but nothing is helping. Her skin was normal before now its hyperpigmented oily and severe acne. Any suggestions
I do this with not just my hands but also my feet after a shower or bath. Dry thoroughly, then Lots of moisturiser, and nice socks for a couple of hours. It really works.
As I have gotten older I experience pain eczema, cracked, and bleeding hands, especially when it gets cooler in Florida. In the warmer months I would do this and sleep with ointment and gloves on on occasion, but as the weather has gotten cooler here I do it every night now. It definitely makes a HUGE difference.
Great tip! Just wondering if it has to be cotton gloves? Or will disposable ones do the job too?
Cotton is best
I think with the disposable gloves and a petrolatum product, your hands would sweat..🤔😂
100% cotton. They are cheap from pharmacy.
Thank you very useful advice with cold weather around the corner

I’m loving new saucy Dr. Dray!
This is the only thing that really helps my husbands cracked hands.
I remember we did this as teenagers growing up in the 80s. Gives soft glowy hands🤲☺️
Uh-oh, Dr Dray is yelling at us again. I’m paying attention, Dr Dray, I promise! 😀

Looking at her putting on those gloves makes me realize how enormous my hands are. I have the same gloves and I can just barely fit them on my hands 😂
Love doing this with the Aveeno eczema therapy balm…absorbs in about 30 mins and resuscitates my hands

I do this every night before I go to bed. Works great. Love watching your videos.
Hey dr dray, great video as usual. Does this trick help with calluses. I do a lot of heavy lifting and it is taking a toll on my hands 😬
I have put Vaseline and socks on my hands since I was a kid lol My husband laughs at me every winter.

Thank you, Dr. Drayton. Definitely starting gthis tonight because my hands are not handling this East Coast coldness!
